Updated and modern hotel with everything you need to enjoy your visit. The staff was very friendly, the restaurant was great (salmon was delicious) and the location was perfect for us. The wireless charger was a nice addition. Breakfast was great, the best buffet that I've had while traveling. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Had a last minute booking and saw this place on Hotel Tonight for a really affordable price. Was hesitant at first because the outside looked a little older but the inside looks soooo much different! Very modern and clean and smells great right when you walk in. The staff that greeted us on Friday was so friendly and informative it made me feel really comfortable. Wish I got her name to say thank you all I remember is that she had bangs??

Hallways were clean and well maintained. Our bedroom was so lovely, I appreciated how it was modern and had such nice furnishing but also how it was so clean! The cleaning staff deserve a raise because this is definitely one of the better maintained hotels I’ve seen. I usually always Clorox wipe everything just for my own personal comfort and there was not one spot in sight! The linen felt so nice. No chemical smell or thick detergent feeling on the sheets too. Smelled and felt just like how I do it at home. The hotel room also has USB inputs so you don’t need to bring a square and each nightstand has wireless charging pad. So dope!

The rest of our stay was great. Whenever we needed help from the front desk they were more than attentive. Even warmed up our food and gave us forks! I’ve already recommended this hotel to a couple of my family and friends even before check out!

Will definitely be back! Thank you Sonesta!

We wanted a place near our friends as they would be picking us up and taking us everywhere. This was the place. The pool was open and so was the restaurant (dining outside). We used the pool a lot. We never ate here but saw people eating outside in the covered patio.
The staff here were very friendly and never rude. They greeted us when we arrived, each time we left and returned. Our room was sealed a safety strip of tape to verify that it was cleaned and disinfected, (Covid). The only issue we had was our ADA room was on the second floor. To reach the elevator you had to walk down a long hallway turn and go down a shorter hallway to reach the elevator and go around the corner to reach our room. Most hotels have the ADA rooms on the first floor or very close to the elevator. This was the first hotel we've stayed at that texted you. I would get a text in the morning asking me how was our stay. During the day I'd get a text asking me if we needed anything. When I would reply to them they'd reply back. This hotel was amazing, beautiful and the staff very friendly.

First of all this hotel is very modern. It is very clean. The room and hotel lobby was pristine. The breakfast at the restaurant here is expensive at around $70 for continental style items I purchased for 3 ppl. While the waiter was very kind, it was only one person to service a whole room of table and people, so very slow service. I think the food was definitely overpriced, so I recommend you head to a near by Starbucks, Panera. Now minus 1 star is for the noise. They must have forgot to sound proof the hotel when building it. You can hear everything happening in the pool, even conversations outside (windows closed). You can also hear everything from the hallways or adjacent room. I was woken up 3 times throughout the night. While I loved everything about the hotel, the noise was definitely shocking.

Lot of dust in the room and the gym is dirty, but equipment are brand new.
They should really spend time cleaning up it seems it wasn’t done for day
The room was smelly (cigarette) and you can hear the highway.

Seriously..... this hotel earned 4 stars on hotels.com? It is barely 2.... its basically on the freeway, the tv did not work, and they had one staffer to work the bar and restaurant at night and at breakfast. The maintence guy that could not remedy the tv was very nice and offered me a free buffet breakfast that was disgusting. He also offered a partial refund on the room, and said expedia would email me with a credit. When I checked out the front desk said it's expedia, nothing we can do but if you want another coupon for our lovely breakfast buffet on your next visit....WHAT?

When I tried to get the partial refund from expedia, and called the hotel back they said free parking (which was never indicated they would charge for) and the breakfast was it, even after the tech promised the partial refund.

To make it worse the charge was over $300 a night for this dump, and the next day when I looked on line rooms were $127.

Terrible experience.

I booked a last-minute stay through Priceline for this property. I was very happy that the pictures on the website and by other travelers were very accurate. Even though the hotel is older, the updates and renovations bring it to this century. The lobby, my room, the pool and hot tub were all great. I was pleasantly surprised that the pool and hotub are open from 5am to 10pm. Stephanie helped me upon my arrival with check-in. She was extremely pleasant, friendly and efficient. Thank you, Stephanie! I found everyone on the staff to be very nice, respectful and friendly. The location is in a business park. I felt very safe and secure in this hotel. It was a relaxing overnight stay. If you self-park, be aware that parking is not gated and the cost is $19 per day. The refrigerator in the room and Keurig are a must have for me. I also really liked that each floor had 1 or 2 small microwaves. I've not stayed at a Sonesta property in the past, but will return to this location the next time I am in the bay area.

My sister-in-law and I stayed at Sonesta Silicon Valley for a few nights as we were in town to visit family.

We arrived late to check-in and the gentleman that helped us very helpful and friendly.

However, the rest of our stay wasn’t as pleasurable as our first impression.

The first morning, we were rudely awakened early in the morning by a fire alarm that went off. When we mentioned our disappointment with the front desk, we were told that the reason for the alarm was unknown and it wasn’t their fault that it had gone off.

We had also noticed black mold on our ceiling above the sink. The front desk said they would have someone look at it and would move our rooms in the evening upon our return.

When we returned later that afternoon, the front desk said they had sent someone to our room and no mold was found. After some back and forth, our room was moved.

Overall, the service was disappointing, the front desk was unfriendly, sleep was interrupted 2/4 of the mornings that we spent there, and room was hazardous.

This is my go-to place to stay when I travel to the Bay Area. It is centrally located in the heart of Silicon Valley, in the middle of 3 major highways making it convenient if you are heading to East Bay, San Jose, or mid-peninsula. Just minutes from SJC airport, Levi Stadium, and many other Silicon Valley landmarks including the new BART station. The property itself is beautiful and impeccably clean. The rooms are so comfortable and spacious. The only other thing that can top the hotel atmosphere is the warm and friendly staff. In particular, Riza at the Guest Reception Area consistently provides 5 star service and makes each stay an inspiration to return to this hotel. They truly treat you like a guest, not just a customer. This will be my 10th stay at this property in 2 months and it is because it is simply an excellent place to stay whether it's for business or vacation. It's also a terrific value for Silicon Valley!

I stayed at Sonesta at the end of January on my way home from visiting family up North. Check in was very quick and the front desk staff was so friendly and accommodating. I did have my small dog with me which always makes me nervous in hotels but she was welcomed with open arms. The rooms were fresh and new with some great modern touches. You can log into your favorite streaming services via the tv and they even have phone chargers on the nightstand. Overall my stay was great I would definitely visit again.

Does this hotel have bicycles for loan or rent?
Answer from Greg M
Milpitas, California
Great Question! Unfortunately the hotel does not offer a bicycle rental program, there are several local rental shops near the hotel that do! Closest is Road King Rentals on No. 1st Street in San Jose approximately 5 miles from the hotels location.
