As I have come to expect, Hilton did not disappoint. The hotel was lovely and the staff friendly. My room had an upbeat modern decor. I got two night of terrific sleep because the bed was so comfortable!. I wish I have time to enjoy their breakfast because it smelled amazing. I loved the walk-in shower. There is simply nothing to complain about.

Christine and William were very nice and excellent customer service at all times! Room was one of the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in. Comfortable clean and relaxing . Area was good. I’ve machine was close by as we are always liking ice for our drinks. Accomadation for my disabled husband for a room closest to elevator was met as well as also we celebrated his birthday

My family gathered together in Milpitas to celebrate the life of a loved one. While there are other hotel options nearby, I chose this Hilton Garden Inn due to the price, proximity to the San Jose airport, and its proximity to dining and retail establishments. The whole team at this location was great to work with. Pauline the sales manager worked with me behind the scenes for a manageable block rate for our family. The front desk staff were welcoming and got to know us as we were in and out throughout the week. We're going to make an effort to keep these family trips more common. When we do, we'll be sure to stay at this location in the future.

A day or 2 before I checked, Hilton sent me an email to inform me that the breakfast would be simplified, which was fine to me. In the morning I was staying, I came down to get some breakfast around 8 am, but was told by the guy at front desk that there was no free breakfast (I am a Diamond member), and if I wanted anything, I had to pay. I told him to write down a list of items I picked up, showed it to his manager when he/she came to work, if he/she had any problem with that, I could escalate to Hilton customer service.

He got angry with my suggestion, walked away without helping me. Wow. That was how Hilton treating their Diamond members?

We recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn SJ/Milpitas. I love the newly renovated room, clean and the staff were friendly. However, I unfortunately experienced a concerning incident during my stay that I want to share.

On the first morning of my stay, someone knocked on our door at around 8 am and opened it. We assumed it was housekeeping but the person didn't announce themselves as "housekeeping" like they usually do. Fortunately, we had the safety door lock in place, so the person wasn't able to open the door wide. We didn't think much about it and we curled up back to bed. We couldn't see who it was anyway as the person closed the door when we got up to check.
Later in the morning, around 9:30 am, I went downstairs to get breakfast. When I returned to the room, my son informed me that someone had knocked on the door again and this time the person was able to open the door and walk inside (This time the safety door lock was not in place cause I went outside to get bfast and my son still in bed). It was a man, and when he saw my son, he quickly left the room. I was understandably upset and immediately called the front desk to report the incident.

The staff conducted an investigation to find out who the man was and called me back an hour later to inform me that he was a new housekeeper. However, I find it hard to believe that a housekeeper wouldn't know to announce themselves before entering a guest's room, and I never received an apology from the hotel management or any further explanation of what happened. It was terrifying and I was suspicious that they were not telling me the truth. Anything could have happened in that 30 min that my son was alone in the room while I went to get bfast.

While I appreciated the cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the staff, this incident left me feeling uncomfortable and concerned about the security of my stay. I hope that the hotel takes steps to ensure the safety and privacy of their guests in the future.

Someone smoked in the room and smoke detector was covered with plastic. Staff did not check or remediate prior to my arrival. I had a late farro I got flight so came around 1am and had to sleep with this stench all night. Toilet was clogged.

So dishonest! Stay away! I booked and prepaid for a more expensive whirlpool tub room, got a hotel confirmation number, and even checked in on the Hilton app the day before my reservation and got a 1st floor room number assigned. But when I arrived on check-in day, the front desk lady told me the room I had booked AND PREPAID FOR was no longer available and tried to get me to accept “an upgraded room on a higher floor” instead. Higher floor, my ass! The hotel only has about 5 floors. And I had a dog with me so being on a higher floor would have only made my life harder. I’m a Gold Member as well but apparently that made no difference in whether they would honor my reservation.

I refused to accept what I considered a downgrade and demanded a cancellation with a full refund which the front desk lady refused to do, so I had to sit in the parking lot for the next hour on the phone with customer support and was finally able to get a full refund.

Don’t prepay here and don’t trust them! They might bait-and-switch you like they did to me.

This was an airport hotel and seemed to be in a sketchy area. There are signs up in the lobby with photos that they will be renovating and it really needs it, but it was clean and fine for a one-night stay before our flight home. I would be leery if I was by myself. The lobby was nice and the staff was nice. The housekeeper on our floor went the extra mile to make roses out of the toilet paper on each roll and made a beautiful design/fan with the towels hanging over the tub! I loved this! She is a keeper! Hotel also needs a big upgrade on the outside, too. Trash in the parking lot and the hotel lot next door had one of those flashing blue lights for overnight security. (It looked like a nicer hotel.)

I stayed at this Hilton property on business, it was a last minute decision and never the less a GREAT choice! It was a prime location to my work, all COVID-19 safety procedures were being followed and I must say the room was very comfortable. Special thanks to Silia at the front desk for going above and beyond. She contacted me in advance to let me know my room was ready and upon arrival she was very friendly and made the check in process a memorable experience. It's truly the little details that makes a difference, thank you Hilton and thank you Silia, keep up the great work!!

Never experienced any problem or worse with the front desk personnel than this partucular one. There was some confusion on the payment issue happened during my stay, I thought I will be billed with the credit card I have in my Hilton Honor account but instead I was charged with the card (debit) I gave them during my check in and I was told it was for incidental/deposit purposes. And I clearly told her I would prefer to be charged with the card under my account instead in case there was any extra because I dont feel comfortable to be charged with my debit card. I admitted it was my mistake that I only carry my debit card since I have out all my credit card under Google pay already. Anyways, she told me to make sure tell the front desk how I'd like to pay before checked out. I had to leave early due to an emergency the next morning but I hadn't checked out yet because my friend was still there. So I called back to let them know how I'd like to pay but the front desk lady (Silia) said I need to be present with the card that I want to use in order to do any switch because they dont take any credit card info over the phone. I do appreciate the security awareness from the hotel but I explained to her that I was not around the area and the credit card info is already in my account, however she insisted that's the only way. The worst pary was she either often cut men off or kept repeating herself while I was talking. Then she laughed (not sure she wad having fun with her coworkers or at me) when I gave her my number to have the Manager to call me since she claimed he/she was not available. As of today April 11th, 2 days after that incident, I still haven't heard from the Manger or anyone from thr hotel yet. Should I assume she never passed my request to her Manager?
