Stayed here as a Marriott Titanium member and was granted a complimentary upgrade to the Suite. Sleep was comfortable and the room had all the necessary facilities you'd expect from a Courtyard property. Gym was not too bad and is shared with the the adjacent Townplace Suites. WiFi was good although had a bit initial trouble trying to get onto the network on the laptop. Thankfully this was sorted out by the Front Desk agent. This property does not offer complimentary breakfast to Elite members but that was ok. Parking felt safe and secure.

Overall a good stay and worth the price for the location near Great Mall. Would stay again in future.

I chose this hotel for location because I had a family member hospitalized at San Jose Regional Medical Center. It was only a 10-minute drive away. In addition, the hotel is close to a freeway, only a 15-minute drive to the San Jose Airport, and walking distance to the Great Mall in Milpitas with many outlet stores and restaurants.

I usually stay at Marriott properties and this one did not disappoint. The bistro off the lobby is a good place to grab a drink and casual food in the evening, something travelers really appreciate. A convenience store provides snacks and beverages also.

The bathroom is tiny with only one sink and the closet is small as well. The bedding is quite comfortable. A coffee maker is in the room. Free wi-fi. Overall, the word clean comes to mind not only for the rooms but the entire hotel.

First the goods:
- The location is convenient with lots of restaurants, FWY, market, clean, lot’s of rooms, new like recently remodeled. Larger than other Courtyard hotels. Big screen TV in the room so if you are chilling in the evening, it is a nice large screenYV to watch. Room I stayed is clean and bed was comfortable.

Now the negatives:
This HOTEL MANAGEMENT CHANGED POLICY AND DO NOT COMPLY OR FOLLOW THE MARRIOTT MEMBERSHIP PRIVILEGE.
- Stupid AC/Heater is so loud when running. I had to get up and turn it off around 3am in the morning b/c I could not take the On and Off every 30min or so as the temp dropped below 68C.
- Hotel does not offer compliment water. They have a water bucket in the main lobby with this tiny plastic cups the hospital uses for patient to take medicines.
- If you are a Platinum level, you would get a big “0” privilege, the same as any other guests. Nothing comparing to nearby Courtyard Marriott hotels. Staffs told me management changes this policy very recently. I am not sure because of the new ownership or not. Is this the “new and improve” Marriott chain??? Not checking these franchises if they comply or not??
- Hotel offers “free” coffee in the room but there is no drinking water to use. They have 16 or 24oz bottle of water next to the coffee maker with a large tag, $3.50 for the bottle water. In other words, $3.5 for a cup of coffee in the room. Nice little bait there. But wait, we do have complimentary tab water I the bathroom... Of course, you could use tab water in the bathroom to make your free coffee if you want, NO THANK YOU!!
- In the morning, there is no complimentary coffee in the front desk area either. You could purchase at the bar/restaurant area. What a joke!! Even Four Point has them in the lobby for guests as compliment. Thank goodness for Starbucks nearby. :)
- Hotel amenities such as shampoo and body wash tiny bottles, seems like re-used and refilled by the hotel.. My bottles were refilled and not even properly closed and spilled. Who knows what they put in there. Lucky, I brought mine own just bc this is my first time staying at this hotel due a last minute travel request and others (where I usually stay) were sold out.
- Bath towers look very clean but very thin. You need two to dry. At least, the hotel provided 4 in the room.
- The system at the front desk is so outdated. Every time the staff needs to print, the supervisor has to login. Are they that cheap that supervisor has to log in every time for everything? Accessing the guest room info to checkout, checkin, print the eFolio. I had to wait for the supervisor or front desk manager to login. She was busy helping the other guest so the other staff told me I need to wait until she is done. What a joke!!! She saiid “sorry, out system is very old and has not been updated. I guess the hotel owner spent all his money to remodel the hotel so nothing left to upgrade the hotel IT system.

This is the 1st Courtyard by Marriott I stay that is this bad. Let’s say it is the first and will be last for me. I rather go to the smaller an a little out of the way Courtyard in Milpitas or Fremont or the usual Marriott.

My family are Marriott fans and typically have Platinum Elite during normal travel. We booked 3 rooms - 2 nights, 3 nights, 7 nights. No upgrade was offered for Platinum elites, no offer of bottled water, no information on breakfast, house keeping and so on. My sister asked if there were complimentary bottled water for Platinum Elite and the answer was rude.

First morning, our coffee maker was only boiling, no coffee was dripping. On our way out, I reported it to the front desk, if they can please replace the machine and leave some decaf coffee. When we came back to the room in the afternoon, the coffee maker was still not replaced. On our way out for dinner, i went back to the front desk. I was told that “it’s not a coffee maker” and that someone came to the room but we weren’t there and there’s nothing wrong with the machine. Someone can go to the room to show me how to use the machine. I was very irate at this point and let the staff know that I’ve used the same machine in other hotels many times before, you open the back, you pour a cup of water, you put in the disposable tray with coffee and hit start. This went on and i finally walked away in frustration. Eventually, someone did replace the machine and I was given 2 free coffee from the cafe.

We had to ask for towels and have the trashes emptied as they had a schedule of when the rooms were to be cleaned. Our room was cleaned on a Wednesday and was told it will be cleaned again on Saturday. Saturday morning, housekeeping knocked on the door at 10 and my husband asked if she can come back in 15 minutes. On our way out, i stopped at the desk to let them know that they can come back to clean the room and if facilities can please take a look at the bathtub drain as it seems to be clogged. When we got back to the room around 4, the room was not cleaned, no new linens, trash was not taken out and drain was still clogged. Called the front desk, oh, it is in the list to be cleaned, not sure what happened, we’ll send someone to the room with towels and take the trash out.

Times are different, but other hotels we’ve stayed at during this pandemic has upped their game to keep the customers coming back, not keeping them away. We will be back in the area in August, but not to this hotel.

P.S. Room 116 is beside the Machine Room and has loud noises - maybe the elevator or plumbing but if you are a light sleeper or need quiet, you don’t want this room. Outside the windows/doors is also a door from the garden area to the hotel and the door is loud when opened and bangs close, specially if someone pushing a laundry bin too.

The pool/garden area is nice when there are no screaming children in the pool.

I feel like the staff is uncaring and oblivious. Two kids took food from the “store” without paying - front desk didn’t notice. A mom and son were sneaking in two big cats through the side door. Both incidents reported, but didn’t seem to phase anyone.

Stayed two nights and used the small conference room for a business meeting. The room surpassed my high expectations with a very comfortable bed, a hot shower with refreshing pressure and spray pattern, very clean, comfortable, and a HUGE TV. I was impressed with how easy it was to project Netflix from my iPad to the TV. The internet service was fast, uncomplicated and flawless. Every staff member I interacted with was talkative, friendly and committed to service. I travel often and wish every hotel met this level of excellence.

We needed a hotel near our daughter who had just had a baby, so we picked this place for its proximity to her and her family.. but it turned out to be better than we could have ever expected! Had really, really great service,..very aware and proactive managers, with a very professional, accommodating staff! Fantastic service all around! Great restaurant delivery options as well. Ended up staying almost a full month with no interest of staying anywhere else.. will come back again to this exact location!

We arrived on a rather rainy afternoon. The hotel was overall clean. Guests need to wear a facemask while inside. Front desk check-in was a breeze. The room was generally clean. We booked 2 rooms for the whole family. The hotel was also quiet and no unnecessary noise.

This hotel has the best bed. It’s firm, it’s so comfortable and it’s hard to get off it. The room is nice and clean and the large TV is extremely welcomed. Love the ice machine and abundant carpark but would be nicer if the outdoor swimming pool is heated on a chilly June. The location is also excellent being beside a huge mall as well as many eateries. A nice stay!!

Stay away from this hotel. This is simply not a safe place to stay.

My cousins stayed here during 9/28 and 10/1. All of their possessions were stolen. EVERYTHING, even the dental braces. A man simply walked through the front lobby and got into their room while it was being house-kept and took away everything and exited again through the front door. The total loss for my cousins is above $7,000, not counting lost wages (one of them works abroad and his passport and work visa got stolen as part of this and is now stuck here).

The hotel, while being courteous, didn't or couldn't do anything to help but simply referred us to Marriott's claim office. My cousins finally heard back from Marriott's claim office on 10/6 and the adjuster said Marriott is not responsible for this since the hotel did everything by protocol.

I don't know which protocol allows strangers in our rooms and take away everything. It's no better than sleeping off the street--anyone can just walk up to this hotel's room and take away everything and the hotel would claim no responsibility.

My cousin is still stuck in this country without a visa to return home. Marriott thus far has done absolutely nothing to help. My cousins have been shelving for all the cost to get all their stolen stuffs replaced.

During their stay, they also had a homeless guy following them inside the hotel lobby one night.

I recommend staying away from this property if you are concerned about safety.

You should be able to very easily--I don't believe it's that close to any freeway. Seems like it's situated more in an office park setting.
