We traveled for 7 weeks, 42 choice hotels, and this was the worst hotel. The staff was not friendly or accommodating. The lobby small and not clean. No breakfast room. And breakfast..not much, that was worst one we ate at. You had to eat in an outside room that had a ceiling light which went off as we ate, we... More

For having the "Clarion" name attached to it, I expected more. It was just an average, room. I believe we had the more recent renovated room, since some of the finish work was not completed. It was clean. Too much $ just to sleep and shower :/ Also...How can the same room- Monday-Thursday be so much cheaper? Maybe they would... More

Decent enough location, but very over priced hotel which should really be described as a motel. The room was shabby and dated and had a slight musty smell, the bed was comfortable though and we both slept well. I wouldn't recommend staying here as there are plenty of other options close by which are a similar price and much better!

My wife and I travel the Pacific Grove area often, but this was our stay at Wilkie's Inn. I would recommend this motel to others. The staff was very helpful; the room was clean and the bed was comfortable; the breakfast was good. It is priced at a good level and the location is near downtown Pacific Grove and Cannery Row... More

Clean, decent beds, quiet crime and bum free area and surprisingly cheap given that most other places aren't. Try the Bulldog British pub for the best tasting Strongbow I've had and really nice potato skins. The sea life styled centre is good but it isn't 50 dollars worth imo. The scenic drive through the golf courses is worth the 10... More

Pros....the location is beautiful Cons.....No chairs in room. Strange layout. It was a queen bed and a single bed. No tub, only a shower. Parking lot was full....had to park across the street. For 2 nights we paid over $400! This room was like a motel 6 room. Not happy!

We fired up the Harley and left Marinwood Inn and headed south on hwy 101 toward The Golden Gate Bridge. we long ago found a easy way thru SF by existing Gary Ave to the Great Highway - Ocean Beach which connects to Hwy 1. We rode to Monterrey and south to Pacific Grove. We have stayed here before and... More

Pleasant overnight in Pacific Grove. Decided to stay at last minute, the rate was great and the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was standard Choice Hotels selection and all was plentiful and fresh. This was a great budget motel which allowed us to splurge on dinner at Fishwife. It is located very close to allow a walk to the... More

We decided to stay here 1 night while in Pacific grove on our drive down the Pacific Coast Highway. Let's be clear, this is a nice motel. It is close to town and you are very close to seaside attractions and restaurants. If you think of this hotel as only a place to rest for the night, then I would... More

We stayed here for 1 night on our way back to Los Angeles. For this it was totally ok. Close to restaurants the Lovers point and the light house. Breakfast is very typical american nothing fancy. Room and bathroom was clean and they had all the amenities you need.
