We stayed here while in town for a family event, and the resort offered things to do for all family members. The pool areas were fantastic, with splash parks, wading areas, and plenty of seating areas. There were decent food options available, but only for part of the day. Most dining facilities were only open for short hours. There is... More

We've stayed at this hotel for the past several years for a tennis camp that was organized by our coach in Seattle. We've had a variety of rooms and even the ones that have been renovated are still very run-down and not up to the El Paseo area standards. The restaurant food is fair but service is slow and the... I stayed here during a business trip, and found it perfect for my needs. A 600 sqft studio king with a kitchen, dining area, and patio next to a creek (man-made yet pleasant nonetheless). I had a place work in a quiet environment, yet was close to El Paseo for my lunch meeting. I will certainly stay here again when... More

This is a large condo-rental resort.. Low key sprawling facility with a variety of units and condos.. When we checked in and were given a large condo unit, which looked like it was last decorated at some time in the 70's.. It felt almost creepy, with old, dated and tacky looking furnishings.. We then called front desk and got moved... More

Thank you for your candid comments. I'm glad we were able to change rooms for you, but regret the first condo was not up to our normal standards. It's unusual to have a room that does not meet our requirements as we require that the owners keep up the furnishings, etc. Since I can't determine which room you were in,... More

These rooms are not like your typical resort. The accommodations vary based on who owns the unit. The first unit we had hadn't been updated. Fortunately the air was noisy and they gave us another room. Much nicer and update. Be sure to ask for an updated room.

Thank you for your candid comments. All rooms are individually owned and vary from studios up to 1, 2, and 3 bedroom condos and villas. We do encourage improvements and, in fact, have requirements that must be met. I'm sorry your first room was not up to par. The owner does have plans to renovate and the air-conditioner is on... Resort was clean and maintained. Staff was very friendly. Room was just remodeled. Pool is the largest one I have been in. Resort was clean and quiet. Located near plenty of restaurants and shopping. Definetly would stay again.

Thank you for the nice comments on staff and the property. Did you know the figure-8 pool was built in 1946? We are celebrating 70 years of resort lifestyle and are happy you visited with us. We look forward to your return sometime soon. More

We found this place on groupon and thought we would give it a try. It was more spacious than I thought and was in a nice location. It was really cool that they provided covered parking since it can get pretty hot out there. Staff was helpful when needed and the pool was awesome. They happened to have a pool... More

My wife and I are considering a move to Palm Desert. We travel here every few months to check out different neighborhoods and experience the weather at different times of year. We chose this place based on location and reviews alone. I will try to stick to the facts while writing this. Pros: Located in a residential area and only... More

Hello, my apologies for the odor in the room. Since your departure the a/c unit was replaced as it was not working properly (causing the odor) and unfortunately, your visit was affected. While this studio is nicely upgraded with new granite kitchen and bathroom, the furniture is not. In either case, I am happy to discuss a return visit for... More

What a wonderful experience. I'm from the area but had friends coming in, so we stayed here (staycation for me) at only $85 a night... off season. We booked this resort as friends had been there before and loved it. Our son loved playing tennis and even tried out the older clay courts. The resort itself was beautiful, surrounded by mountains. Loved the cafe for a bloody mary in the morning or a cocktail in the afternoon. Our friends had a villa, so we cooked there most... More
