I have stayed at 27 hostels from St.Petersberg, Russia to San Diego. This one was if not the best, certainly one of the best. I was impressed by the hostess, Nancy. Her attitude and friendliness were outstanding. The main area was warm and inviting. I had such a great experience in the communal kitchen that night meeting people and being... More

Nice hostel in Point Reyes Park. Beds in dorm room of 8 are very comfortable. Sheets and towels are provided, although you might bring an extra towel, especially if you are going to the beach. Kitchen facilities are nice, and some nice common areas for reading. Mix of people of all ages, this is a quiet hostel. No wifi or... More

In the forest, quiet and clean. Comfortable beds, large kitchen. It's a bit of a drive from town but well worth it. Plenty of trails that lead to the beach and quiet spots to relax. I highly recommend it as one of the stops when you're on the coast of Northern California

My husband and young daughter stayed at the Pt. Reyes Youth Hostel for one night, while we explored the Pt. Reyes National Seashore. What a hidden gem this hostel is! Even though we live less than 50 miles from the area, we felt like we were a million miles away. I stayed in many hostels in Europe twenty years ago,... More

Cozy, clean and pretty hostel. Neither wifi nor mobile reception. Hikes directly from the hostel. Difficult to get there without a car. Bunk beds were comfortable. Offered organic tea/coffee for donations. Big selection of books and magazines.

My friend and I have just stayed in the Point Reyes Hostel for three nights and are really impressed with the job the staff members are doing. All facilities:rooms, bathrooms and kitchens are exceptionally clean, very well organized and comfortable. We had feeling of staying in the very stylish country house being surrounded by gorgeous nature. Breakfast on the balcony... More

I liked this place. Quiet. No wi-fi. No TV. Located in the middle of the Point Reyes NP near some good hiking routes, I had a great stay. The kitchen is very well kitted out, there are numerous books and comfortable seats. The only problem I had was not being about to check in 30 mins before the check in... More

Set in a quiet part of Point Reyes national seashore, this is a great way to spend the night actually in the park. There are gender specific dorms, co-Ed dorms and private rooms. Bed was comfortable. Communal kitchen well set up and stocked. I did not cook - I love to stay in hostels or camp and eat in fancy... More
