The "cabin" we stayed in was just like someone's home, and the living area had a large fireplace. There was a fully loaded kitchen for cooking whatever you wanted, from microwave to full stove and oven. The setting was awesome, and the place has its own small lake with bass, according to what they say. It is nestled among a... More

Our clan gathers for a reunion every other year. We selected Leonard Lake this year based on a recommendation from a friend of my son. We had 30 people at the reunion. The oldest: early 90's. The youngest: 7 or 8 months. We originally rented 4 houses, which easily accommodated all of us. However, the bathroom setups are a little... More

The only downer was leaving. Loved the place. Serene. Lot's of things to do or do nothing at all. So quiet. The drive in was so secluded, so many miles from anywhere. I loved the trails for hiking and biking. Fishing and canoeing...all good.

That was disappointing and it was very COLD at night and the bathrooms were far away and not very clean. We felt that these accommodations were quite overpriced for the... More

Leonard Lake Reserve is one of the most beautiful spots at which I've had the pleasure of vacationing. The cabins are beautiful and homey, the lake is stunning and serene, and the hikes/walks are great. It's a shame more places like this don't exist.

Despite being only a few hours from San Francisco, Leonard Lake Reserve seems light years away from the hectic city. The drive up from San Francisco was beautiful. As was the adventurous trip down the long winding dirt road that leads to Leonard Lake. Driving into Redwood country was amazing. We stayed in the big house which has a warm... More
