I stayed here for a week for work. Good location- 3 blocks to the Capitol Bldg. Check-in was fast, room wasn't ready at noon when we arrived so they offered to text us when key was ready for pickup.

Great service from time of check in. Loved the fact that room confirmation could be done in advance and room was chosen based on preference before even arriving at hotel. High floor on J street side over looking park. Listened to concert in the park....More
Daytime walking is quite safe. Be sure to look up, the architectural details of many of the buildings is gorgeous. I walk in the early evening, but anything too far past dark and I'd use Uber or grab a cab.
