My husband and I stayed here after an unpleasant trip to the Midwest... and what a fresh breath of air it was! We stayed at the double tree down the street last year and honestly much prefer the Villa Rosa. The rooms are individually decorated, the courtyard is simply magical, the breakfast was not extravagant but perfect for a foggy,...

I was planning on staying at the Hilton is Santa Barbara and when I arrived and saw how big it was a far (about a 1/2 mile) I passed it up and drove around knowing it was low season. I saw the Villa Rosa Inn and thought it looked cute so walked in. Very charming. My room actually had a...

Great location! Wine and cheese in the evening was very nice. Room was clean and a nice size. Staff was friendly and bed was really comfortable. Free Wi-Fi which was fast. I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel should be max $75/night. Perfect for young guys going on a friends trip and dont care about safety, normal window curtains or a proper cleaned hotel room. Way overpriced. Didn't feel safe. Weird stuff in the yard. Strange noises at night.

We chose the Villa Rosa for its location and quaintness. Those qualities it had. The staff was friendly and helpful. The "red flag" issue did not bother us at all nor was it an issue. Having said that we found the bed extremely firm for our liking and the pillows flat. Needless to say we did not sleep well. Added...

Friendly service, good location close to the pier and restaurants. It has a beautiful pool area with quaint gardens and an old spanish style. The room was very nicely done and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We found it perfect for a getaway.

What a charming place! Each room had different decor all with a European flair. The people at the desk were friendly. Happy hour with wine and cheese was fun. Met all sorts of people and had a ball. Would come back

We rolled into town with no bookings on an unexpectedly busy weekend. The tourist bureau suggested the Villa Rosa and rang for us - lucky us we got the last room! As other reviewers have said, if you are after a cookie cutter modern chain hotel, this is not the place for you. But if, like us, you love quirky,...

We recently stayed overnight at the Villa Rosa Inn in Santa Barbara. The place is fine, but aging and in need of some TLC. The shrubs and plantings are overgrown. The pool area is in a bit of disarray again, mostly due to the lack of maintenance. The rooms are average sized but the bathroom was really tiny and strange....
