We booked direct as "Pet Friendly" hotel since this was our first time traveling with a dog. Nowhere during the reservation were extra fees mentioned. When I checked in I specifically thanked them for the first floor room since we had a "dog" and it would be easier to walk.

We have stayed at the Seaway Inn many times and given numerous referrals to them. It was actually our favorite hotel in Santa Cruz until one stay the desk person called us while we were out celebrating my birthday with my husband and beloved dog. She said we needed to come back

We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experiences with our staff members. We can assure you that we do strive for excellent customer service, so the fact that you did not have that type of experience in your stays with us is very concerning. Being a very small property, our staff has almost completely changed in the past year or so. We are now also under new ownership. Part of that transition process is making several changes to our property, the way that it is run, room updates, etc. We are sorry to hear that we lost your business because of this, and do sincerely hope that you decide to give us another chance, should you be back in our area.

Nice hotel especially for the couple of nights you are staying. Rooms are a bit older but shower and beds are amazing. Very close to boardwalk. Breakfast has a lot of simple choices such as Hard boiled eggs, waffles, cereal and yogurt. Parking is a bit hard not many spots.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Seaway Inn! Great location, helpful staff, reasonably priced and very comfortable. We appreciated being able to have our (well behaved) dogs as well. Easy and beautiful walk to wherever we went. Thank you!

We had no noise problems but we were in the back. In fact it was pretty quiet considering the entire town was filled with tourists. Our room was quite clean and comfortable. I would stay again.

We currently have what we call our King/Queen Combo room. This room has a king bed in the front room and a queen bed and futon in the rear room but no common area. The rate for the next 3 nights would be $199/night, plus taxes.

"take in the sea lion choir at the wharf, and the west cliff walk. A good three mile stretch leading past the Santa Cruz surf museum"
"room 230, top floor all the way on the end was big for 3 people and dog, and had a nice view"
"Back corner rooms are quieter but feel a little claustrophobic"
"Ocean view is the best. there is patio furniture and people do tent to hang out on the patio, this could be annoying and no privacy."
"Get a second floor room"
