The Gables Inn is a very special place. My boyfriend and I were in town to visit family and friends and enjoy the beautiful Bay Area. We chose the Gables based off of its great reviews, its amazing views, and picture perfect area, just far enough away from the hustle and bustle and close enough to everything. Right when you...

Great stay at the Gables Inn. Arrived just in time for their wonderful wine and cheese spread which featured a wide range of cheeses, wine and fruit. You could sit inside in one of numerous area or outside on the porch. Incredible atmosphere. The interaction with the other guests and staff was minimal but all were exceedingly polite. The room...

I stayed here recently during a business trip to San Francisco. The facility is very nice. The area is superb with great views of the bay, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate. My room was on the first floor. It was very quiet. It was clean and comfortable. Extra points for the huge bathroom. The TV service was more than adequate...

We went for a short getaway just my husband and I. The places was tucked in to the hillside one block up from the main road in Sausalito. It was such a nice change from the craziness of San Francisco. The room was wonderful, spacious and quiet. The only negative was the bed was not super comfortable. The evening wine...

I passed there three amazing days to be really close to San Francisco, and at the same time, sleep on a quiet, quaint and nice place. It's a small one al most at the top of a hill, which offers nice views of the bay, free parking and big rooms. They really care about the customers because it's kind like...

Great location in Sausalito. The Inn was quiet and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I thought the self serve breakfast was nice and had good options and the other patrons were friendly and outgoing, which made the group eating area very comfortable. The parking was a problem as we arrived late and needed to park a few...

We returned to The Gables Inn last weekend. We got a great room on the 3rd floor. Nice view and quiet. We enjoyed the fire place and balcony . Breakfast and coffee were excellent. A couple complaints are no plug for the spa tub. I found something to use in my suitcase. No robes in room as advertised. I asked...

I stayed there this past Saturday night. I returned from a concert around 11:30pm and my electronic key would not work in the door. There is no customer support or night watch anywhere to be found. They have a phone number posted, so with my last few bars on my phone, I called it. Someone walked over from their sister...

We stayed for four nights while visiting San Francisco and wine country. Our best description is "above average". The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were fairly clean. Continental breakfast was adequate. Our rooms were on the ground floor so we would recommend the upper, more expensive floors. Access in and out of the hotel was not very convenient....

Very nice place on the surface. Parking which you pay for was limited and difficult. We parked down the street in an alley way with no instructions on which spots were the hotels. Then we had to drag our luggage out the alley up the street to the back entrance. First a short flight of stairs then a long steep...
