This property does not match up to what I would call a resort. If you are going to charge a resort of $25 then you should get something for it. I am a premium status with Marriott. The lobby and bar were near nice but the rooms are a little dated.

The lobby and ground of this hotel were beautiful and ultimately the reason I decided to book a stay here (in addition to a considerable corporate discount). Unfortunately, the guest rooms don't match the quality of the rest of the resort. The fireplace was a nice touch, but overall our room felt a little dingy and dated. We also had... More

This hotel is overpriced for what it offers. There are several reasons why I make that statement, which I outline below. - They use a Renaissance brand, and as a longtime user of Marriott hotels, I can say that the level of service, comfort and overall experience, the brand they use does not make it justice (except for the premium... Spent a long week-end in wine country with the Renaissance as our base station. We started the first day with a resort guided hike through the hills which provided a sparkling wine toast at the top. Our guide was top notch and I would recommend the Friday hike to everyone. Only day they do the sparkling toast. The rooms were... More

The Lodge at Sonoma is a Renaissance Marriott property that has a great location to explore the Sonoma/Napa area. The common areas of the hotel are updated and nice. The rooms could use some updating but the "cottage" style rooms have a sitting area and gas fireplace. The pool is heated so you can use it most of the year.... More

We spent about 10 days in Napa Valley (Carneros Resort and Spa) and Sonoma (Lodge at Sonoma) around Thanksgiving, November 2016. Spent 4 nights at the Lodge. We booked an upper story cottage room with a king bed plus separate seating area that included a hide-a-bed sofa for our young boys. The cottage room was functional but dated. The shower... More

Great location for area trips. Property seemed well maintained. Very comfortable and well furnished rooms. Overall a very nice place with good facilities. Staff was very helpful. Only issue was the shower door did not seal and leaked water all over the bathroom floor....which I forgot to mention to the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

We went for our anniversary and had booked a king-sized bed. They gave us a room with two queen beds. Finding our room was difficult. The rooms looked so much better online than they did in person. I will say that the entry and pool area are lovely. Otherwise, stay away. We'd never go back.

The Lodge at Sonoma is a beautiful property. The lobby, pool area and grounds are deserving of a five star. The king cottage room that we stayed in was definitely in need of a remodel. The bathroom had a small shower stall. A large person would have difficulty fitting. We were on the second floor and the wood deck was... More
