We stayed one night at the Gunn House Hotel in the king bedroom (not in the main building). Unique and charming room. Very comfortable bed. Lovely swimming pool, patio area and the included breakfast was very good, served in an upstairs parlor. Conveniently located an easy walk to nearby restaurants.

Heading on a trip to the Yosemite National park we stayed here on the way (for the night) Me my husband, and grandpa got a two bedroom on bottom floor. I thought we were supposed to get a balcony but I guess that's ok... When I walked in the lady greeted us very nice and friendly. Went to our room...

The Gunn House was a great place to stay! We were a large extended family with lots of kids of all ages. We had five rooms. Two were next to each other on the 3rd (?) floor by a patio/balcony area with tables and chairs. We loved this little area (and sort of took it over because we were many)!...

My husband and I celebrated our 27th anniversary with a beautiful day hike in the Emmigrant Wilderness and an overnight stay in Sonora. Originally we were looking for a bed and breakfast in Sonora, but after looking online, decided that the Gunn House seemed just as quaint as the more expensive B&B's...and the reviews were great, so we decided just...

The hotel is nicely decorated in an old-fashioned way. The queen bed room we had was fairly small, but this is a 100plus year-old building, and that's just how they were built. Good place for a night before visiting yosemite with friendly staff and a large breakfast buffet. The pool area looked nice although we didn't use it, and an...

We chose the Gunn House for a single night stay for 2 couples, while we attended an event in Sonora. The rooms are great, we loved the deco and the bed was super comfy. The atmosphere was fun and definately a place we would have Loved to spend more time. We've already got plans for a 2 night stay, that...

We stayed here on and off while looking for a home to buy in the Sonora area. When the inn was booked full we tried other hotels in the area but always returned to stay at the Gunn House. Shirley, the owner, is personable and funny and cooks the best breakfast ever using local ingredients. The rooms are charming, the...

Quaint is the word I would use to describe this place. Its done out in an olde worlde type style which is quite nice. The rooms were large and the bathroom was huge with 2 sinks which was very nice. There is a small pool and terrace which catches the sun. The breakfast area is small but there are seats...

The atmosphere, hospitality of staff, home cooked breakfasts were great. The rooms were spotless and decor was from late 1890 to 1920's with all modern conveniences. The teddy bear in the room was a dose of specialness that added to the unique atmosphere of this motel. We are recommending it to our family and friends as one of the best...

We stayed with the family here just one night, it was a great option to stay on the way from Yosemite park (less than 2 hours drive). We really like small towns like Sonora, very unique, full of historic buildings and antique little stores (too bad most of them are open 9-5, so we could not take advantage of them...
