We are here on a Monday evening. The setting is in an old hotel in historic Sutter Creek; very quaint an comforting. The menu and wine selections (many from local Amador wineries) was great. Other than a few rookie moves by the wait staff, we were pleased with our meal. Dress up or dress down; you will enjoy this place.

This was our second nights accommodation on our winery tour of the "Gold Country". Yet another historic hotel of which there seemed to be a plethora in this region. We checked in and were allocated rooms on the 2nd floor. The elevator was more a time machine so slowly it moved. Our room was very spacious with a equally spacious...

This is a no frills place to stay, but it's a fun spot with great access to Sutter Creek. The restaurant attached to the hotel is good and has delicious Brussels sprouts. I arrived early, but wasn't able to check in since the rooms were still being cleared. After walking around town and grabbing a cup of coffee, I checked...

We stayed for one night at the Sutter Hotel after attending a concert at the historic Sutter Theater. The entire area is a throwback to it's mining days. The hotel is old but very nicely renovated. Our room was pretty large with two queen beds. The bathroom was small, but with a nice walk-in shower. The location is perfect if...

Sutter is a period town with lots of false fronted buildings with verandas covering the walkway. It was very hot 97 in the shade. Used the restaurant for lunch. Both of us had a Berger a 1849 and an 1857. These where the first we have had in the states. Very good, amazing, Makes you wonder how the chains sell...

A few drinks to end a really pleasant evening. We were advised by a friendly local to give this a try. The Cellar Bar is part of e Hotel Sutter, with the entrance found to the front right of the hotel. The bar is downstairs and as a well stocked bar, great for sitting at and watching the world. There...

Lovely stay in this great small hotel. In the middle of town opposite the little theatre. Wonderful shops and places to eat, wine tasting too! Great bar and we had a wonderful evening meal over a beer. Great rooms, comfy beds. Highly recommended

I had a business trip just south of Sacramento and I thought I would enjoy my evenings in an environment other than in a "standard" hotel. I found Hotel Sutter on Tripadvisor and the rates were very reasonable. The hotel decor and atmosphere were nice and inviting. The staff was very attentive. My room was very comfortable and clean. The...

Very convenient place to stay in the middle of town. Rooms are small and decorated with semi antiques,, bathroom small and has all the amenities but the toilet ran. Nothing in the room like a map of the town or a what to do in Sutter Creek and nothing at the desk that I found. Breakfast is not served until...

This is our first time visiting the Amador wine area and we will be back! And we will stay at the Hotel Sutter again. Stayed 2 nights in this great downtown location. They have a wonderful 2nd floor balcony with tables overlooking the town where we hung out in the mornings and evenings. Our room #300 was a spacious king...
