Sunnyside Hotel, Lake Tahoe Dates: 09 May 2016 to 12 May 2016 This hotel is situated a short distance South of Tahoe City on the North-West shore of Lake Tahoe. We were able to walk into Tahoe City in under 30 minutes and the walk was mostly easy. We really liked the Sunnyside Hotel. It has a wonderful location right...

We stayed here for 3 nights in August as part of a tour of California and wished we could have stayed longer. We loved it!! The location (West Shore) is great - we saw wonderful sunrises and moonrises as the hotel faces east towards Nevada. Our room (36) was just perfect - full lake view, spacious, beautifully furnished and really...

Let me set the context. I'm a Brit and our culture is different and we stayed in a lake view room on top of the lounge on Labor Day weekend. I'll try and give a balanced review. THE GOOD BITS The location and views are stunning. The sun rises of the east bank and the room deck gets glorious sun...

Clean, nice staff but....rather small room (two king beds) so not much space left to move around in. Probably the most disappointing was the tiny deck. Large enough for two small chairs barely. The stairs were very difficult for me, a senior, and we really should have been warned. We ate in the restaurant once and wouldn't go back. One...

We went to the Sunnyside Restaurant the second to last week in August 2016 for a late lunch and although there were plenty of vacant seats, we were initially told by the hostess that it would be a 20 minute wait to seat 6 people. She barely looked up from their reservation pad. Not a big deal and we were...

We stayed at the Sunnyside Lodge for 2 nights and ate at the restaurant once. I really liked the feel of Sunnyside - comfortable lodge rooms, nice views, balconies with the rooms. However, there were some downsides to staying at the lodge. The rooms have no air conditioning which is fine for winter, but the rooms were pretty hot for...

The food was delicious. Reasonably priced. We were able to soak in the feel of the Lake Tahoe people and scenery. We did not stay there, we only had lunch there between hikes. Worth the stop. Go at an off time, because it got crowded.

The location on the west shore of Lake Tahoe is nice. Have been there many times over 30 years. We (6) were there for dinner on the reservation side of outside deck. We ordered various mixed drinks with appetizers. We noted to the waitress the drinks seemed weak. Our dinner came and ordered new and different drinks. The dinner was...

Had a nice and relaxing dinner. Watched the sunset and the full moon rise over the lake. Special Ribeye was tasty and well prepared...unique Lobster and scallops Gnocchi was a hit. Service was prompt and friendly. Would definitely recommend for a nice dinner in Tahoe.

The hotel is an old lodge with a pleasant lakeside location. However, they flat-out lie about having usable wi-fi. While staying in a room near the lobby and presumably near the wi-fi router (clearly they have only one), the wi-fi was completely unusable. I need to remain connected with my business while traveling, and I could not access the internet...
