Best place for a romantic get away. The only place actually. This is a spot that goes way back in Tahoe and has sustained itself against all the pop up lodging and restaurant newbies. It's spectacular in views and it's really hard to leave!!
Really nice room with balcony overlooking the lake with wonderful sunrise views. Bed was comfortable and room was exceptionally clean. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely stay here again!

The beaches consist of a bit of sand into the rocks & the water is mostly VERY cold, as it is an alpine lake. Resort located right on the water with a dock for the boats use in summertime. Depending upon the time of year, you could easily need a full wet suit (winter!) or at least a vest/jacket other times of the year. This is not warm water....There are some nice beaches in the town of Tahoe City (Commons Beach) as well as beaches located at state parks, too.
