Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

So much to recommend about Flowerpots” and Sandra and Geoff our wonderful hosts. The house is beautiful, lovely surroundings in beautiful countryside. Our accommodation was lovely, very comfortable beds, we stayed 7 nights and so glad we did . The food was excellent. Breakfast table laden , homemade compote , marmalade etc. We had 3 evening meals, again excellent, beautifully cooked, Sandra is an excellent chef. A huge thank you to you both for making us so welcome in your beautiful home .

We stayed 3nights at this lovely B and B run by a very hard working couple who made us feel at home. The home is nicely decorated in an English style, and we were served a tasty English breakfast. The dinner options is quite delicious as well. Sandra is a great cook! It is a quiet setting where you can hear birds in the morning and enjoy Sandra’s garden full of beautiful flowers. Both Sandra and Geoff made sure our needs were met and gave us great advice on things to see. They speak both French and English, which was helpful for us since our French is rather lacking. It is not too far from beautiful places like Mont Saint Michel and Saint Malo. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation.

We stayed for 7 nights at Flowerpots and had a wonderful stay. The b&b is run by Sandra and Geoff who are excellent hosts. Nothing is too much for them. The b&b is spotless surrounded by the most lush gardens. As we were staying with our 2 children we decided to eat in every night. The meals were out of this world. Plentiful and tasty with lots of imagination. You certainly won’t go hungry here! All Covid measures were also in place. We will be going back.

We spend 4 nights in the Barn suite and we really enjoyed it, also the hospitallity of Sandra and Geoff are from a higher level. Its a lovely place in the country side as from were you can do several nice trips in Normandie. I would also recommended to take the dinner at Flowerpots as Sandra is a great cook and suprises you every evening with a nice meal including aperitief and wine for a democratic price of 20€ PP. For us everything was perfect. Thank you Sandra and Geoff to make our stay unforgatable. Frank & Caroline Belgium

Cannot come to Normandy without staying at Flowerpots. Food is always of a high standard, my wife is a coeliac and needs gluten free, and this proves no problem for Sandra, who with her husband Geoff provide a lovely warm welcome Have already visited umpteen times over the years and always look forward to the next trip. Truly a hidden gem in Normandie Basse.

We recently spent a great week at the Barn Suite with our two young children. Sandra and Geoff are fantastic hosts and extremely welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. They worked so hard to ensure that we had a great stay- the food was consistently first rate and they made a real fuss of our children. They were very forthcoming with recommendations for activities and places of interest. We very much hope to return!

‘Flowerpots’ is a delightful B&B, a typical French cottage that has been expertly refurbished to a high standard by Geoff. It retains many original features but also incorporates updates well suited to visitors. And it’s in a very quiet countryside location assuring a peaceful stopover. For us, the ‘icing on the cake’ (almost literally) has been Sandra’s generous and tasty menus, home cooked evening meals or breakfasts which we’ve so enjoyed during our visits. The food plus Sandra and Geoff’s homely hospitality have made ‘Flowerpots’ an essential stopover for us when driving from and back to Cherbourg, whether for our holidays much further South, or to Brittany. Highly recommended. You’ll return to this B&B like we have.

Decided to stay 6 nights on this occasion, we have never been disappointed and this will be our third visit this year. Sandra and Geoff have a fantastic enterprise with her delicious cooking and his conversational skills, making each evening meal a wonderful event. We have been coming for several years and intend visiting many more times in the years to come. George and Irene Zajac.

We stayed at Flowerpots for 3 nights on our way back from further south before returning to England. A last minute recommendation was the highlight of the holiday! Sandra & Geoff were the epitome of host & hostess, nothing was too much trouble and after booking an evening meal as a treat we couldn't say no to a meal the next night .... the food and attention to detail was overwhelming and the company was a delight! we would definitely book here again when in the area.

We have travelled through Normandy on a number of occasions without spending any real time there, so on this occasion we based ourselves for 6 nights at Flowerpots so that we could see more of the Cherbourg Peninsula and the D Day beaches. It was a great choice and worked very well. I can only reiterate what other travellers have already said, we were made very welcome by Sandra and Geoff and their hospitality was exemplary. We stayed in the Barn Suite and ate in their home for 4 of the nights we were there. Sandra's cooking is both imaginative and plentiful, as are the drinks - fantastic value for money and you certainly will not go hungry. It is very peaceful at Flowerpots as well as very comfortable, a great stop if you are just passing through and even better if you can spare more time to explore this delightful part of France. Highly recommended.
