Hard to complain about waking up with a view to arguably the most beautiful coastline in the world, but the rooms (the lodge in general) are out dated and a little run down. Not the end of the world, but not what was expected for nearly $300 a night. Could have stayed in Gualala for a lot less and got... More

What an amazing location to enjoy the quietness and the pure air from the ocean, forgot about the time and go exploring the trails along the coast and just relax;the room was fine with a beautiful view, the only thing is if you are closed from the parking it can be noisy and sometimes you can hear also your neighbours from the... I only heard about Sea Ranch a few months ago and was told that it is the Bay Area's best kept secret. I couldn't agree more. I had a wonderful three-day solo stay during Thanksgiving weekend and will be returning. The tranquility, walks along the trail (so many dogs to stop and pet!!!) and views were all spectacular. I appreciated... More

Our extended family of ten stayed at the SR Lodge for three nights over Thanksgiving. We had our breakfasts and one dinner there and the lodge even set us up in a private fireplace room for the dinner to accommodate our large group. The lodge has some deferred maintenance evidenced in the wooden boardwalks and and leaky windows, but we... More

I'd wanting to stay at Sea Ranch for decades, and the views and landscape did not disappoint. The building itself is in pretty good shape for its vintage, and a wonderful period design. The food at the restaurant was okay, but the service at the restaurant was the worst I've experienced in my life. It was not just bad, but... More

Sea Ranch has become our annual trek in the fall! The tranquility and lack of crowds truly makes this a special place where we can relax and renew prior to heading in to the hectic holiday season. We will be back yet again next year!

The Sea Ranch Lodge was the perfect getaway to enjoy the first few days of married life. The beautiful land and the simple layout of the hotel provided for a peaceful environment to truly REST. The surrounding area was truly picturesque.

Superb location, with weather-beaten redwood structures set near to a rugged coastline with absolutely superb views. The room was classic, comfortable California Coast, although the gas fire turned itself off after only a few minutes. The restaurant was a bit of a let-down: friendly-enough service, but so-so food. Breakfast was disappointing, on both aspects. Expensive for what it was.

Sea Ranch Lodge is on a truly magnificent stretch of the northern California coast. The view from our room was amazing and the hiking trails are packed with beautiful vistas of the rugged coast. The food was wonderful as well - we had dinner and breakfast at the lodge restaurant. We had a first floor room and the one and... More

Thank you for your review. It sounds like you embraced the journey and the destination. Thank you for choosing the Sea Ranch Lodge The team at the Lodge is engaged in giving the complete north coast experience hence we wish the guest room wall construction in 1964 had be better insulated by the designers, but the overall architecture of the... Customer service was great. All the staff welcomed my dog very warmly. Entirely enjoyable trip. I did not try the spa service. It did not seem to be well promoted. There are no manicure/pedicure services.

Dear Julie, Thank you for your comments. We are a dog friendly resort and glad you and your dog enjoyed the run of the trails. We recently added manicure, pedicure and facials at our spa and I am distressed that we did not convey that to you during your stay with us. We will be updating our printed materials to... More
