thats basicaly all I can say. the cabins are in bad repair, especially the bathrooms. hard to find some sleep here. the only good thing, Im afraid, is the near location to the very charming village Trinidad.

We stopped for lunch at the restaurant/bar connected with the Ocean Grove Lodge. We should have known better; we were the only customers in the place. It had a bad smell inside and wasn't very clean. Some in our party wanted to stay and eat, so we did. The food wasn't bad, actually, but there are many better options in... More

It is really too bad this place is so dirty and in such bad repair. It is just the kind of place we like: old fashioned tourist cabins, these set in an extraordinary grove of red wood trees. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it to anyone else. We could live with the dilapidated condition of the buildings, but not the dirt... More

I found this place very expensive for what you got (75$/night). It not worth it. It was cold, damp and very run down.. I would not stay here again. It seems that this town I very popular and prices are high but I would know better I would continue further.

If you booked a room, cancel now! Especially with kids. We had 6 kids & 3 adults so 3 rooms. The absolutely worst rooms I have ever had the misfortune to book! It's February and no heat in 2 rooms. Owners not home but an off site manager so no help there. Biological wet spots on bedspread. Carpet and furniture... More

Worst place I've ever stayed hands down. Mold everywhere. Floors falling through. Everything in the place was 120+ years old. Heard somthing like a rat in the room at night. Had a bug crawl up my leg in the middle of the night. Save your money I wish I would have slept in the car. BIGGEST DUMP AROUND

A pleasant surprise hidden in a beautiful stand of Redwoods close to the Pacific Ocean. My cabin had a very comfortable bed, refrigerator, and microwave included. A separate bathroom with plenty of hot water.and fresh towels Overall, the room was very clean, but showed it's age.

We had 3 rooms, bleach was the strongest smell we had. wondering what the bleach was covering up, strong mold smell in the other room. Big stain on the floor Urine?? perhaps, used washcloth on the floor under the sink as well as some other unidentifiable object, we didnt pick it up to examine it. the beds were about 200... More

We had to travel to Trinidad for a family memorial event. Several family members from out of the area and out of state also booked rooms. The reviews were both good and bad, but the website photos looked nice. Apparently, the photos are decades old. Our room (#15) literally looked like a crime scene out of the TV show CSI;... More

I was looking for a coastal spot to stay but everything was looking pretty awful in the cheap hotels and the beaches were lacking, so we moved on to Trinidad, instantly fell in love with the village and had rung ahead to Ocean Grove. Fell in love with their location. Yep a little pricey for what they are and the... More
