The location for this hotel is just about perfect. Very close to probably the best restaurant in the area, Larrupin Cafe. And only 20 minutes from some of the best Redwood trails. Fireplace was wonderful, and the bed was great, but the room just shows some age. Sitting in a rain Forrest, I'm sure it ages faster than in a...

These little cabins, situated just north of Trinidad, are just what a tired traveler needs. We stayed here on our way to and from the Bay Area, not wanting to brave the Siskiyous in winter. The cabins we stayed in have been remodeled and are so comfortable and clean! I love that the owners are a young family, working hard...

I like staying at places that are privately owned. The owners here are especially friendly & helpful. Our cabin was spacious, clean. Beds are very comfortable. Liked the quiet location. Not much of an ocean view, but close to neat oceanside parks. Not too far from Redwood National & State Park. Was an hours drive to Humboldt though. Only a...

On vacation in Northern California - we spent three nights at View Crest Lodge. Wish it was three weeks! Full kitchen, fireplace and deck with a view. VERY comfortable bed and love the sheets- so soft! Where do they come from??? Owner was very nice and helpful regarding the area. Listened to the sea lions every evening! Next visit will...

What a delightful find! The photos don't do justice to the experience. I was a bit unsure of booking a room in a shared building/cabin that looked old. However, it was a wonderful experience. We stayed in Building 7, in a Deluxe Q Suite. Everything in the cabin is top-notch. 2 flat screen tv's; nice setup for coffee/microwave/basic kitchen items;...

The rooms are separate cabins with kitchen. They are beyond walking distance from town. The cabins we had were nice and clean. The actual buildings were older. My bathroom had a couch in it. Where do you get that? There was wifi. It seemed that all of the hotels are similar in design. And View Crest is the best.

Absolutely wonderful stay in a charming, adorable cabin with a view of the ocean from up on a bluff. We could see the sun set and hear sea lions. We stayed in #4 which has a queen bed. The kitchen was lovely and had the BEST quality pots/pans/utensils that I've ever had in a hotel/motel. Our cottage had a little...

Stayed at this lovely and quaint little lodge this past Tuesday. About a half mile from beautiful Patrick's Point State Park. Staff was VERY friendly, our room was very clean and views of the ocean were so beautiful. Had a wonderful dinner in the town of Trinidad and when coming back driving down Patrick's Point Road, it was so easy...

This family-owned place, right on the coast, was the highlight of our 19-day Western road trip. The owners are friendly, and the cabins are spacious. The location is not to be beat. The Redwoods are a very special place, a blend of ocean, mountains, and of course, tall trees. When we come back this way - and we will --...
