Booked as a cheap and cheerful quick stop option. While the place was fairly clean it didn't feel it. Noisy guests upstairs. We checked out very early. The Wifi worked well and parking charge was waived.

Stayed there after concert in town. For a room 138 and 20 to park in the tiny parking lot. Could of stayed at a better motel cheaper (with free parking) but we couldn't drive further. Other than that, room was below average and outdated by 30 plus years.

I visited all the way from the opposite coast and came just to see the last room jim morrison lived in before he left for paris! We parked at the opposite end of the motel and walked the catwalk to see room 32's door open ///I of course just wanted to walk in and luckily enough a guy named Matt...

Poor service, all they want is money. From the website, it states that they provide free parking, in the end we gonna for 8USD per day for the confined car parking. Secondly, the air-con broke down when we stayed up for the 2nd night, what a terrible night we had.

Ive stayed here a few times when I was having financial problems. The place is very basic but has free wifi. A very nice Indian couple own the place and are always friendly. The only problem is that it is cheaper so you see a lot of hookers and drug addicts that frequent the motel.

If you love The Doors and are desperate to "live for a night" in Jim's old hotel room, then you have to tick this box. True it isn't very clean, but it's OK. Jim's room is on the very noisy side of the street, but - like i said - if it has to be done, you'll live with it....

Grim with a side helping of grimness. People question if the Jim Morrison room is authentic or if its been decorated and upgraded since he stayed there. Well if that room has the one I stayed in hasn't been touched since the 60`s. But hey I knew after the reviews what to expect, it was a bed and it was...

What a dump. Horrible location, like being on the street. Noisy. Filthy air. Questionable guests who are likely turning tricks. Yuck. I would not return here if I were paid to do so. On the other hand, ifb you like sleazy.....

Where to start with this place, charged a total $90 for the night it felt more to the likes of a really bad motel from a movie that is about bad motels. At most i'd pay $50 for this place. Things wrong. 1. Noise Levels, although it's not the motels fault they're on a main road used by emergency services,...

This was my second time visiting the Alta Cienega Motel. My previous review was quite detailed so check it out if you want loads of detail. This time I stayed the night, and I have to say, this place is really fine if you are not a snob. It's budget but clean. Very outdated but really, if you just want...

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
