Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really loved the friendly welcoming staff and relaxed vibe. The location was excellent, and underground parking was convenient. Social nights in the tiki garden were really fun! It was great to meet other travelers. Rooms were clean and roomy. Breakfast included coffee, tea, pastries, and fruit. It was FREE! There are so many restaurants and little shops, including the Grove & Farmers Market. Great neighborhood, awesome budget friendly, clean place!

Great location for access to Hollywood. Nice common areas inside and outside. Big kitchen. Room was clean and spacious with 3 sets of bunks and a bathroom. Nice gathering activities with Happy Hour drinks and a walk a few blocks to a bar with karaoke on Wednesdays. Friday Happy Hour drinks and BBQ with a DJ. Rooms have access with glass sliding door/screen to outdoor common area. Nice but downside is if you come in from a long trip and want to crash, there is no buffer from outdoor music or louder conversation. Staff was friendly. Right on 217 & 218 busway which can take you to and from Hollywood Blvd and Sunset Strip or else about a 20 minute walk.

Very good option for budget travel. Rooms are clean, as are the bathrooms. Bedding is clean, but a bit worn. Great location in WeHo, perfect for experiencing the nightlife. Lots of activities available for guests as well.

Stayed here for 4 nights during our time in LA. Definitely recommend pre-booking parking as the parking is very limited with little to no free street parking anywhere near the hostel. A few big communal areas which is great for solo travellers and an activity board which was helpful. The room was okay, kind of felt like staying in a teenagers bedroom with the decor and bedding. Definitely in need of a lick of paint and a freshen up. Did like that the room had a safe, microwave, fridge and balcony. The corridors felt creepy at night, decor gave old hospital vibes All in all it did the job and was relatively close to Beverly Hills and Hollywood

This place is so cool, the staff are so friendly and helpful! Sadly, I had to cut my stay short due to an emergency, the staff were so tentative and kind during my departure. Would definitely recommend this place!

This place is cool and unique! Staff were nice, my dorm was clean and cozy! Common areas were perfect! Seriously can't beat the location for the price! I really enjoyed the evening gathering and met some fellow travelers!

We entered late at night, and had our parking spot reserved. Parking is usually full, si I recommend booking it in advance. The room had a double bed and a bunk. It's a very cool place and it has many spaces for meeting new people, work on a computer or have a meal. They hace many different activities ti do on the evenings too. Bad things in my opinion: 1- Air conditioning isn't on demand, you can't manipulate it and 2- our room was very dark, se needed lights on even during the day.

The location of this hostel is really good; West Hollywood; really close to Bevery Hills and not that far from the beaches and Hollywood. I booked a private room; nice room, but it is just.. fine. The walls are very thin tho, so you can hear your neighbours talk and hear what they have to say. The little garden is really cute, nice place to sit. But a lot of travelers where smoking weed (I dont like that). The hostel is trying to have activities by themselves; free wine of pizza evenings. The Staff was really nice and friendly. Overall; it was okay, just not the perfect hostel for me.

Decided to stay at this hostel because we had heard it was a party hostel full of lively young travellers. We could not have been more wrong. We didn’t see a single other person our entire stay. The place was deserted. The chairs were on the tables and communal areas were not even open. Breakfast was not included despite being advertised. This was incredibly disappointing because we had seen it online. There were also zero social activities. The kitchen lacked any basic communal ingredients including salt and pepper. This hostel is also very unclean. There were brown stains on our towels and white marks on the navy sheets. The walls were paper thin and our door did not lock on the inside. In addition there was a homeless man sleeping in the parking garage which had complete open access to the corridors where our room was. We felt very unsafe. The room constantly stank of weed and we heard blasting music all night that kept us from sleeping at all. I would never stay here again and I urge that no one else does.

We stayed at this hostel for 5 nights in a six bedroom dorm as part of a 6 month around the world trip. The USA was our last country and so we had to find accommodation on a budget! The location of this hostel was great, you could walk to many of the Hollywood attractions and there was also a bus stop outside to take you further afield! However, I didn't always feel safe when walking back to the hostel at night, but maybe this is just what you get in LA! The bathrooms in the room were spacious and clean. The room itself was hot, but we were in LA in August so I guess this is to be expected. There was a large fan but it was quite noisy. There are Mac's readily available for guests' use which was great for us to plan the rest of our trip. There was also a free breakfast although this was very basic. (Tea, toast, jam, cereal). If you are planning to go to Disneyland California from this hostel you may want to arrange transfers in advance. We attempted to go via public transport however it was an extremely long journey, we ended up taking an uber and then a bus. If you need somewhere to stay in LA on a budget then this is a good option even if it is not the nicest looking place!
