Wow. At the time I booked in early November (2016), this was "Basecamp Hotel, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member", and TripAdvisor (and Hotwire) rated it as a 3.5 star "hotel." Oh boy, it's not. It's an old (old) La Quinta motel masquerading as a "hip hotel" by virtue of a new paint job, some wall hangings, and an old house...

We booked here for four nights over Thanksgiving in a "deluxe king" room with refrigerator and microwave. The room we got was not "deluxe" - pretty much ordinary. The bathroom was so small we could barely use the toilet. No refrigerator, either - we asked about it after unpacking and were told we could get one the next day. Checking...

Clean, friendly, accommodating. Great location and rooms are fun, quirky & quiet. Thank you for a great stay! Provided my friend a fridge for her medications just for the asking. Easy walk to everything.

We stayed there on two separate nights. Both times it was clean, quiet with helpful staff and lovely querky room. The second night we were upgraded to the "penthouse" because we mentioned there was a problem with the electrical sockets in the room we had stayed in. Karen at the desk was amazing knowledgeable and helpful. Would definately go back....

Great Hotel to stay at if you are going to be visiting your son or daughter at CU Boulder. Close to everything including Pearl Street and the nearby mall. The rooms are clean and I found them to be quiet. The hotel is a great value for the price.

I had the pleasure of staying at this unique hotel for 5 days in September. It was quiet, very clean, a spacious room and a fabulous location. Just a few blocks from Pearl Street and Boulder Creek, this hotel allowed me to walk everywhere. I am a retired, single woman, but I felt very safe here (which is my primary...

I stayed here in late July for a business trip and had no issues. I was notified in advance by my colleague who chose this hotel that this would not be 'fancy' or have a ton of amenities, which was totally fine by me. The rooms were really cute (loved the whole campsite/camping vibe) and clean. There are different sized...

We have come to this hotel for almost 20 years, it is under new ownership and is not as good. They no longer serve breakfast, the pool is gone, the people working here are not as friendly. The furnishings have been downgraded to a cross between a dorm room, IKEA or a lodge at a National Park but in a...

Dirty carpet, AIr conditioner old and not working properly, musty smell in room. Way overpriced. Entire space felt old and dirty. So bad, we could not stay here. Neighborhood not the best. Would have rather stayed anywhere else. Ended up staying elsewhere that was 10x better for less money.

I agree with the recent reviewer who said that they were "pretty torn about this hotel." I chose to stay here because I wanted to be within walking distance of downtown Boulder. Between the limited number of downtown hotels and the high rates charged at most of them, I ended up at Basecamp Boulder. I thought it was worth taking...
