I had not heard of Glen Eyrie before some family members planned a reunion. It was a great place to get away. There are no TV's in the rooms. There are trails on the property with wildlife roaming the grounds. Not to mention that Colorado Springs is a great place to visit, and I am looking at options of living...

Growing up in Colorado Springs, I'd already had the chance to take the guided tour of the castle so I was familiar with Glen Eyrie's fascinating history. I'd always wanted to stay overnight, but thought the castle was only available to groups. Imagine my delight when I discovered that, not only were rooms available by the night but also at...

I surprised my husband with a 3-night stay in the castle at Glen Eyrie for his birthday. We had an amazing time exploring the castle, reading books we purchased from the bookstore, and walking around a little after breakfast. It is a quiet and peaceful place to stay. Each room is different, historical facts are readable everywhere. We did miss...

Three years ago I stayed here on an anniversary trip with my husband. We stayed in the castle. Way cool! This time I stayed in one of the outer buildings (Glen View) with my daughter. Our room was nice enough. Nothing fancy but I didn't go there for the fancy room this time. Room has an individual coffee maker in...

We had already planned to attend the post-Christmas winter concert at Glen Eyrie, but some dear friends shared a gift certificate with us for a night in the Castle. It was a wonderful experience, first to last, with one exception: My husband had been battling a minor illness the day before the concert, but thought he'd be ok because he...

Stayed on 12-14, was booked into the Big Horn Lodge, the room reminded me of a run down Motel 6, the carpet was very stained, lots of mold in the bathroom, and the room had a lot of dust the nightstand made my hand turn white after wiping it off. The beds have seen better days, the linen was dusty...

The home of Colorado Springs Founder William Jackson Palmer, Glen Eyrie offers tours and overnight stays. I stayed in Palmer's room, which was clean, comfortable, and a trip back in time. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the grounds were relaxing and beautiful.

I have had several "high teas" while living overseas so I did have certain expectations that were not met in regard to the food and drink that was served. That aside it is a lovely setting and structure. If one could afford to be an overnight guest I would imagine one's stay would be quite enjoyable.

If you have an opportunity to stay in the Castle don't pass it by! We had the top room in the tower and it is beautiful. A perfect place for a romantic getaway with your spouse. The afternoon Tea is excellent as is the service from the entire Glen Eyrie staff.

Long time resident of Colorado and finally made it to the castle. Though not really a castle it is an impressive stone mansion. Tea service was great and the tour was wonderfull (althought it is enhanced with religious rethoric). General Palmer was really something.
