The Lookout (Shepherds hut) is a compact and really cosy place to enjoy a relaxing weekend away, we hadn't been away for 7 months like many other people, so this was the ideal location to get away and stay safe, our neighbours were sheep and Tawney Owls were our alarm clock, red deer were very vocal the other side of the river, even the weather couldn't spoil the moment.

We stayed wc 10th august. What a lovely stay we had. Lucy and Peter are so friendly, make you feel comfortable. The shepards hut was a nice cosy modern place to stay and the animals and landscape just made our experience incredible. Some days we sat out in the morning enjoying breakfast out on the decking, other evenings we watched the thunderstorms over the fields some nights as the weather predicted downpours! But it was an incredible experience perfect for couples whatever the weather. I was very sad to leave and will certainly return!

Thank you Simon and Lucie (and the doggos!) for being so welcoming and hospitable for our stay in the Lookout. The Lookout is described as a Shepherd's Hut, but is so much more. A real home from home. A Tardis too of sorts... it looks quite small on arrival but seems much bigger on the inside! Every mod con is available in a surprisingly roomy space. Very cosy and comfortable, and with wonderful views of nature from the veranda. So peaceful, so tranquil, with great places to see and eat out on your doorstep. We will be coming back!

After a 3 night stay in ‘The Look Out’ we are sad to be leaving! It is small but perfectly formed, very comfortable for 2 adults and a 5 year old :) We were welcomed by Simon - who is a gent and a lovely guy! He showed us to the hut which was spotless, told us all about the local area and picking up on how much my daughter loves animals, invited us to visit the sheep and feed the pigs :) The very friendly spaniels, Jack Russell and cat came to see us too! We met Lucy on the second day, she is very friendly - they are wonderful hosts! The bed is soooo comfy, my partner now wants a new mattress at home after having 3 blissful nights sleep! The kitchen has everything you need to make a meal, they also have tea, coffee and sugar, bottled water, cutlery, towels etc Basically everything you need to get settled in! We loved the views, the location, the hosts and the animals :) We will definitely be back!
