I recently stayed at the Wild Skies cabins in Craig for 4 months due to work. Very clean, safe, and quiet cabins. I highly recommend staying at the cabins! Owners Chip and Lisa are great landlords and have always been there when needed.
Thank Clint R

Clint-thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am glad your stay was enjoyable.
The cabin was so comfortable and clean. I usually have a hard time sleeping when I am away from home, but had no problem in this two bedroom unit. It was newly built and all the beds were so comfy. The cabin was quiet and...More

Place was perfect for a bunch of guys on a snowmobile trip to Colorado. Had a blast with a group of 8 guy's. Cabin slept everyone perfect. It was clean and we were able to park with trailer still hooked up. Thanks Lisa
Brand new, quiet, and especially clean. Close to town, but far enough away...no noise.
Beds were comfortable, place was comfy - and my grandkids loved it! We sled, ice skated, snowshoed, ice fished and took in a great western museum right in town and free....More

We are located in GMU 301 just a few minute drive from GMU 3 where you plan on hunting. We are the only cabin rental available to the public in this area. Mostly Craig,CO has motels and hotels and a lot of private ranches. We have been offering cabins for almost 10 years now in this area and in the Flat Tops.
There is great fishing to be found on the Yampa River as well as at Elkhead Reservoir and other local spots. However, if you have never been to Craig, CO before I highly recommend the following in addition to hunting and fishing:
1. NW Museum in downtown Craig-it has a fantastic cowboy and gunslinger collection and the museum is free-although donations are accepted and recommended.
2. Sandwash Basin to see the wild horses/mustangs
3. Dinosaur National Monument Park (about 85 miles west of our cabins). It is like a miniature Grand Canyon with one of the best/most diverse dinosaur fossil finds in North America. Great White Water Rafting on the Green River which runs through it. Indian rock art in the form of petroglyphs and pictographs are found in DNMP and some can only be seen from the river so a rafting trip can be a bonus.
There is a lot more but our interests and time will dictate what will work for your trip. Feel free to call me for more information.
