This hotel is an a great spot, very close to the main drag in Crested Butte but its getting a little shabby and could do with some sprucing up. Faded old pictures dot the walls (blue is a bad sign) and the plants all along the top corridor are withering away. And why so mean with the coffee? could you...

If the worst thing is faded pictures in the 3rd floor hallway and a small coffee pot I'm not sure this warrants a negative review? There was nothing negative said about the rooms or breakfast. I guess he missed our commercial espresso machine that makes very strong coffee and our 10 pieces of original art. Sorry, can't play rock and...

Very nice rooms all with a view. Nothing fancy but clean rooms with comfortable beds. Expanded continental breakfast buffet with a hot entree, wonderful local breads and jams and lots of fruit. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate always available and afternoon sweets (if you get there in time). Short walk to downtown and helpful staff who can recommend restaurants and...

First of all, Crested Butte Colorado is frickin cool. I love that town! Great places to bike, decent places to eat, and it's all within easy walking distance from Elk Mountain Lodge. We flew into Denver and rented a car and drove to Crested Butte. Our car sat in Crested Butte pretty much our entire stay there - we just...

We stayed at the Elk Mountain last December and are planning to return this Dec. The lodge is an historic building but very clean and updated. The breakfast is amazing and the decor is very homey. Staff was very kind and helpful.

My husband and I stayed here one night, and wished we could stay longer. We loved Crested Butte from the classic town, excellent eateries, and outstanding scenery and hiking opportunities. This lodge is what you picture when you think of a ski vacation, and the public areas would be great to while away time during inclement weather. The rooms are...

This is the best B&B I have ever stayed at. The staff was fantastic. They were very friendly and extremely informed about the area. Everyone did their best to make our stay great. The whole place, including the room was very clean and comfortable. They also do a great job of catering to hikers and bikers (bike storage, maps, supplements...

My second year now to stay at Elk Mountain Lodge during the Crested Butte Wildflower Fest. Went with 4 great friends. The rooms are spotless clean and the decor is perfect for the setting. The staff are friendly, courteous and charming. After nightly dinner around town, we returned to sing in the lobby/living room while one friend played for us...

Mike, Amy and staff have a gem of a Lodge that they refurbished in 2000. Wonderful cozy feel in the lobby, complete with piano. The staff know the area, give great tips on where to hike, what to see, and what to do in town. The breakfast is very tasty. The best part was the corner upstairs room where we...

My husband and I were in CB for a little over a week to mountain bike and hike...stayed at the lodge the entire time. Great experience. Room/lodge was very clean, bed was comfortable, showers were hot, folks were friendly, Wi-Fi was great, and the room TV got Versus which meant we could watch the Tour re-runs every night (BONUS!). It's...
