Love how the Leland House and Rochester Hotel embrace history in an authentic way (not over the top theme stuff). Each room is different and if you stay there enough, you will find your favorite. Staff is super friendly and helpful. A welcome smile when you check-in and help with dinner reservations or anything that you need. Dedicated parking is...

I can't say enough about all the staff members and how they focus on making you feel as part of their family. Nancy, Kelly and Galen are the best. Both my wife enjoyed the evening cookies with a hot cup of tea. I plan on staying at the Leland next Christmas with my granddaughter, while we take her on the...

Excellent service from reservation to check-out, but you will want to keep having these breakfasts much longer. (Better do a lot of walking and hiking, too.) Attention to detail from soap and hand lotion, pillows and window screens, to bikes and umbrellas. Don't overdo the evening homemade cookies or you won't be ready for breakfast in the morning ...

Returned from 3 nights in the Weminuche Wilderness to wonderful accommodations at the Leland House and outstanding breakfast the following morning - cannot wait to return with my wife. I am so glad I decided to try this lodging on the back end of the trip - much better than alternative hotel options in Durango.

The location of the Leland House and Rochester Hotel (where breakfast is taken, just across the road) is excellent, being just behind the main street of Durango and very close to the terminus of the Durango/Silverton railroad. We were upgraded to a suite on arrival, which was extremely pleasant and very comfortable. There is a menu for cooked breakfast each...

We stayed at wonderful places in Santa Fe, Moab and Flagstaff, but the highlight was our suite at the Leland House. Not only were the rooms very large and well furnished and the breakfasts (especially Kelly's house baked goodies) wonderful, but the warmth of the front office staff and owners was great. The gas utility in Durango ruptured a main...

We had a delightful stay at the Leland house. An historic building in the heart of Durango, walking distance to everything. They even provides bikes if you prefer, and umbrellas if it rains. The rooms are decorated according to persons from Durango's past. We had the Max Baer room. It was small, but clean and comfortable, and who wants to...
