This was the worst place we stayed during our 8 days in SW Colorado. It is an old dump, really disappointing. The naseuous smell when we opened the door to our room was only out done by entering the bathroom. We stayed in 2 other hotels in the area for similar price. In summary,we highly recommend NOT staying here until they do a massive renovation

Nice and clean. Had restaurant & bar attached. Very nice bartender too. Did not like having to lookout my window and only see the side of a hill/mountain just feet from the building. Really had no view. Comfortable rooms. Would ask for a room on the front side of the hotel.

We stayed here with a group of 4 families. The stay was very comfortable, rooms were clean and staff courteous. They have ample parking space. Location of this hotel is very good. It has a indoor swimming pool and gym. It has great views and close to Main Street and railway station.

We stayed there for three nights and expected better service. The room was much smaller and room cleaning service had to be requested. Though I filled out the form for cleaning service, my room was not cleaned daily. On-site restaurant was closed more than it was open and the choices were very limited. Water for shower was at best warm and for most part of our stay a struggle to get a hot shower. Definitely disappointed with our stay.

Due to flight problems we unexpectedly stayed at the Holiday Inn. What a delight. Beautiful hotel, very pet friendly, comfortable accommodations and amazing staff. Hazel is a great brand ambassador.. Kendrick so professional. We will definitely stay here in the future!

We had just drove 7 hrs from Scottsdale and decided Durango would be our half way point. Upon check in I asked if we could upgrade our room to two double beds instead of the king I reserved. The lady at the counter told me it wouldn't be a problem and that the difference would be about 20$'s. I was happy to pay it. Then when she realized that I booked through hotels.com all of a sudden she could not help me at all. I told her that I would pay the difference, but she said I had to call hotels.com for assistance, cancel the room I had and rebook. I explained to her that I couldn't cancel last minute and all I wanted to do was upgrade. My son decided to travel with us at the last minute. I explained that if ahe couldn't change our rooms to a double that my husband would be…

Stopped her for a couple of nights to ski Purgatory (part of a larger ski-road trip). Check in was quick and Hazel was most courteous - she even cleared some space in the nearby storage room for us to store our skis. Room was clean and quiet, and included a fridge and microwave (I cooked a Hungryman TV dinner one night for dinner). There is a grocery store within a 2 minute drive from the hotel, and the older downtown section is also equally as close. We brought breakfast with us and used the fridge for overnight storage.

Great hotel, minutes from the Durango/Silverton train depot and the Polar Express! Also close to Mesa Verde NP, Four Corners, Silverton and Ouray. Spacious rooms. Clean property. Pool and hot tub were perfect. Spire Elite welcome and benefits. Excellent customer service (especially the sales manager). Hoping to be back next year. Thank you. ***This year due to Covid, the adjoining restaurant was closed for breakfast and lunch. “Kids eat free” is obviously a major perk, so we would have preferred advance notice. But management did give us free breakfast burritos for our kids.

No soap in the guest rooms. Asked the front desk for some and the response was ‘we ran out’. Went to lobby to get coffee the next morning and they had not made any. Asked if they were planning to since they usually have coffee in the lobby and response was ‘we ran out of cups’. Hope they haven’t run out of cleaning supplies to clean the rooms. Other than running out of basic supplies, it was fine.

The Holiday Inn Durango is pretty typical of any Holiday Inn built in the last 10 years. It opened 7 years ago, which means it is starting to show its age. It's time for an update: 1) TVs are from 2013. No smart TV capability. 2) No USB outlets and few accessible electrical outlets for devices. 3) Lighting is very yellow. 4) Combination shower and bathtub really shows its age. 5) Some of the furniture is scratched, discolored, etc. Otherwise, the hotel was comfortable, in a reasonably good location and had an okay restaurant. The restaurant Burger Theory has an okay sports bar dinner -- it's better than their breakfast. The only problem is the hotel does not promote the restaurant for drinks and dinner at check-in. Also, it's not even properly signed or marketed, either from…

Hi travelnonstop247, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for posting a candid review. While I am glad that you appreciated our restaurant, I was also concerned to read your comments about the TV, electrical outlets, and shower just to name a few. I understand your dismay, and I am sorry. This is not the joy of travel that we wanted for all our guests. I will make sure to share your comments with our team for the necessary improvements needed on our end. Thanks again, and I still hope you would give us another chance in the future. Mike F.
