I expected the Durango Lodge to be like every second rate hotel in a vacation town: run down, marginally clean and worn out. I was pleasantly suprised by this facility. It was very clean and although it's old, the grounds and the building are well kept. It has a nice pool and the location can't be beat. Literally right beside...

This is motel type accommodation just a few minute walk from the Durango-Silverton train line. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet and the shower was good. There was a complimentary breakfast included in the price but as this in the small reception area we opted to buy breakfast from the excellent bagel place down the street instead. The hotel...

Nice little place within walking distance of train station and downtown Durango. Comfortable bed, room wasn't overly spacious but worked for a one night stay on the trip. Parking lot was crowded in the morning, but plenty of room if you get there early. Great value for the location, right off the main drag in Old town Durango.

Very good. Right in the heart of downtown. Well worth the price. Staff attends to matters right away. Bad shower head was replaced the same day. Next to the rail station. Bagel shop next store if you want to pass on the contential breakfast by the hotel. Hotel breakfast is above average.

For a budget motel in a five star location in an interesting small town this was value for money . The rooms were clean and breakfast what you would expect ,I would recommend this for a short stay in Durango . I would also recommend the railway museum just around the corner

A very pleasant surprise. Cute, not a chain property and right in downtown Durango next to the train station. We parked outside our door and walked everywhere. Very clean, smallish room. Shower only but lots of counter space in the bathroom. The gal at the front desk was nice enough to check us in a little early which was hugely...

My wife and I enjoyed our stay because it was very nice but most of all very convenient to the attractions of Durango. It was within walking distance of where we wanted to go. There were some interesting shops and neat places to eat within walking distance. The train station to Silverton was just a short walk from the Lodge.

We went to Durango to ride the Durango -Silverton Train & wound up spending 2 notes in the Durango Lodge. Room was clean, comfortable, steps to the train. Breakfast was the usual expected in moderately priced motel. The place was jammed & parking at a premium. No negatives. We'd recommend it & book again. A+ location for train riders.

First, I think I accidentally voted for one of the bad reviews. I was trying to hit "More." Just spent two nights in the Durango Lodge. I really like the place. Everyone at the front desk were courteous and professional. Room was clean. Noticed they are renovating several rooms. Good sign they are serious. Love the fact it is only...

Just got back from a quick stay in Durango. Though the Durango Lodge is not "high end" or fancy, it is comfortable & conveniently located. With the money you save on the cost of your room, you can splurge on the other things that you wish to do. The rooms are comfortable enough & clean. Surprisingly quiet for being right...
