On our recent trip to Durango, we decided to stay at the Apple Orchard Inn. Couldn't have made a better decision. This property is maybe a 10 min. drive outside of Durango, tucked away between beautiful mountain ranges. The property is indeed an apple orchard, very charming, and well maintained with beautiful landscaping, a main house, where breakfast is cooked...

We loved staying here! The cottages were fun because you feel like you have your own space. The farm feel is great as well. Beautiful grounds. We stayed in the fireside cottage, which was cozy with a fireplace, four poster bed, and a whirlpool bathtub. Nice. Wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was delicious in the main house and...

This was our second visit to Apple Orchard Inn. Although a very friendly greeting, very nice breakfast and upgrade to a larger room was appeciated, we were overall disappointed with the run down appearance of the property and service as compared to our first visit here several years ago. In particular, the mattresses really do need to be replaced; not...

After traveling for weeks, we truly appreciated this lovely B and B. The hostess, Kathi, offered a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, wonderful breakfasts, beautiful gardens and above all, a spacious, clean and well appointed room! For dog lovers, the friendly four legged residents were an added delight. We'll be back!

Eight miles north of Durango, the Apple Orchard Inn actually has an apple orchard that helps creat a beautiful property. We were in a cottage near the main house with a stream that flowed by the cottage. Kathy was a gracious hostess and we really enjoyed her breakfasts. She recommened the local golf course as a great place for dinner....

2nd time here, a few years apart. Last time there were bears in the trees, this time deers on the lawn. It's near Trimble Hot Springs. I love the setting except the hospitality is a little coolish. Hard to have a conversation. Makes it hard to fully relax and enjoy the place. The breakfast is a little too slim for...

Not much more to say! The setting, the cabins, the location -- just simply lovely. The rooms are well done for a B&B, they are large, clean and comfortable. The cabins are very nicely designed and built, you feel like you are in a luxury cabin in a lovely mountain valley setting. Being out of town is a double edged...

My wife and I spent a couple of days in Durango, primarily to ride the steam train to Silverton and back. We stayed at this B&B located a few miles out of town. It includes both an inn (where we had a room) and some cottages. The setting and grounds were attractive. We enjoyed the seclusion and appreciated being out...

My husband and I stayed in one of the inn's cottages and would gladly have stayed longer. It was very clean, very comfortable and Kathy's breakfasts were excellent. It's a lovely setting in an apple orchard with a steam running through it, close enough to Durango and to the Durango-Silverton steam train's Rockwood Station. Definitely recommended.

The Apple Orchard Inn has beautiful grounds, but the cottages are very outdated and neglected. No Internet, 13" TV with just local channels and, horribly worn bedding and linens. The place could be so much nicer, but it's long overdue for some major upgrades. The owner is nice, but the Inn is very overpriced and extremely disappointing.
