We spent the night at the Fort Garland Motor Inn at the recommendation of the welcome center in Alamosa as being a very clean place to stay. They gave us a somewhat misleading brochure as to the amenities of the premises. The amenities, swimming pool, exercise room, sauna are located nearby at the Community Center! We checked in early to...

My 90 year old Mom wanted to view some land she'd purchased nearby so we visited Ft. Garland. This is the first lodging you come to if your coming in from New Mexico.... I step in and ask if there is availibility, The woman at the Front Desk who is probably the proprietor frowned at me so hard. She made...

This hotel could us some updating on the outside, lobby, and the rooms - furniture looks very 80s. Very, very clean - except for a moldy shower curtain. This hotel is right on the highway-first one you come across traveling to the west.

If you want to go to a motel thats run by an extremely funny foreign lady this is it. When we walked in we where greeted by this strange lady who sounded polish. When we asked where she was from she wouldn't tell us. She said in her funny accent "no just sign paper" if you want a good laugh...

Even though it's been awhile we still remember the owner Anna. As other reviews have attested she keeps the place immaculate! We'll be passing through this summer and would stay again without hesitation. I was sorry to see another review calling the owner racist. My wife is Taiwanese (and Anna is an immigrant from Europe). I just asked my wife...

At only $70.00 per night for 1 person! The only thing this place has going for it is that it has beds. Don't even think you'll get a room if you have children or young adults, she won't rent a room! Don't turn the heater above low, no matter how cold you think you are! Don't think you're going to...

We stayed 5 nights as part of a hunting trip and everything in the room was very clean and well maintained. Anna runs this hotel and does an outstanding job keep the property clean and organized. Her rate (approx $100 for 2 people) is higher than the hotel down the street and if callers are concerned about costs she lets...

We called and quoted $55 a night. Went over minutes later and the old lady claimed she was the only one there, denied ever spoken to us and gave a new quote of $106 a night. She insisted $55 a night is for the motel down the street and hers is more expensive. We checked the number we called earlier...

I made a reservation at this motel on a recent MC ride. I have to agree with the other reviews, the rooms are spotless, very clean and comfortable. Good restaurant right across the road. Reasonable rates, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This hotel is not part of a chain. It is owned and operated by the couple that built it. Anna takes tremendous pains to ensure that the rooms are clean. The hotel modern and comfortable. If you are staying in Ft Garland, this is where you want to sleep
