My wife booked a break away for 2 nights for my birthday at Trimble Inn. I regularly stop in 5 star hotels all over the country on a weekly basis so imagine my delight to find a beautiful small inn with the quality of a 5 star hotel, with fabulous food and in the heart of

What an outstanding place to stay and eat! We enjoyed 2 days at the Timble Inn last week and it was an absolute gem! The room was outstanding, the staff incredibly welcoming and the food amazing! We were going to eat out on our second night, but the dinner on night one was so

A lovely little out of the way place. The room was cosy and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, as was the dinner menu although a little limited on choice but guess that was down to time of year perhaps. Some lovely walking and great views at the reservoirs. It was booked

We were staying nearby over the new year and had walked passed The Timble Inn a couple of times and thought how nice and welcoming it looked. We decided to take a stroll down on new years day, we hadn’t booked a table but they very kindly managed to find us one and I’m so glad

I booked the weekend before Christmas at the Timble Inn back in November, as a special treat for my wife (as we celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary earlier in December), plus to get in the mood for the Christmas festivities. Everything went well the first night, but the

Firstly please accept my apologies for our manager not calling you as promised regarding your weekend with us. I suspect that, with it being immediately before Christmas and thus being our busiest time of the year, the message to call you was mislaid but this is no excuse and falls below our standards of service. With regards to your dining time being moved on the second night without you being made aware, this was unacceptable. As a resident of the hotel I would expect your reservation time to take precedence unless there has been a mutual agreement to move it. I will ensure the team are aware of this expectation in the future. Finally, I am very sorry that there was no hot water for you to shower with in the morning. We have had some intermittent issues with our boiler which started in the week prior to Christmas. As soon as we were aware of the issues we put steps in place to ensure that our hotel guests were not affected by the problems but unfortunately the second night of your stay was impacted. We have arranged a short period of closure starting this week to allow a permanent solution to be put in place before we reopen. Unfortunately due to the timing of the problem in the run up to Christmas we were unable to get any remedial works organised sooner. I hope my response goes some way to showing our genuine concern at your issues and if you do feel able to give us another try we will do our utmost to ensure a problem free stay with us. Please contact me personally should you wish to book a further visit. Mike Stainsby Owner
