Room was very untidy and small with only one power point so charging overnight was impossible as there was no roof fan. Nice staff, occasionally slightly hostile but the worst thing was the toilets and bathroom, wouldn't recommend it. Perhaps install power points and upgrade the bathroom and the stay would have significantly improved.

I found this place over priced and unclean. There was a misunderstanding with payment which added to my displeasure in regards to my stay here. I found the bathrooms pretty unacceptable and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Don't go there. Overpriced rooms, which are in terrible condition. The staff was extremely rude and so condescending to female guests... They threatened us and wouldn't let us leave for lunch unless we paid upfront the full price in cash. DON'T GO THERE.

A good place to relax near the beach with very nice sea food such as crabs and cuttle fish, calamari, big prawns and fish. Extremely nice place for wind surfing, sun bathing, sea bath etc., Staff is good and clean place to visit.

Fathi is one of the best chefs in Arugam Bay, even if the restaurant should be a lil bit more clean (lots of spider nets). The individual cabanas are provably the cheapest in town, but the same, they need to improve a Little bit the cleaning service. The bed was a bit small for my 1'80m and there was a...

Don't book in advance. Go there and take a look at the rooms first. They might have better ones then the little hut we got. The location is not bad and the restaurant on top of the hostel seems to be popular. Overall, we didn't like it at all and would have left straight away if we hadn't booked in...

Really cool place to stay for some days/nights. The owner Fatih is a nice fellow and a great cook (locals recommended his tandoori chicken to be the best in town - and they were right!) who serves different meals everyday! The different huts are maybe small but cozy! Bathroom is clean. Wifi could be a little bit faster but it...

The room we stayed in was ok and the guy who runs the place is pretty nice. However, the bathroom was pretty dirty, probably the worst we've had in Sri Lanka. Quite a lot of ants in the bathroom (lots more than in other places we've been) and the toilet is dirty. We had a ground floor room and the...

First, it is really cheap and it is very well located, next to the beach and to the main street. However, I must say I felt quite uncomfortable during my 2 nights there. Unfortunately, I did not find the staff particularly friendly to me. They seem annoyed when I asked for them to show me the common bathroom and the...

We stopped in Arugam Bay for a night as our destination (Ella) was too far away to go from Trincomalle in a single day. The city really turned into a surfer’s town. It a fun place if you’re into that but we weren’t and we felt a bit out of place. Happy we didn’t stay longer but if you’re into...
