This is wonderful B & B. We experienced a most delightful sunset in the shadow of Mesa Verde and were able to relax just like at home. Our accommodation was fantastic, and Sue and Bob are delightful. We enjoyed our time with them, and they even got up early to ensure we had breakfast and snacks before our early morning...

We spent a few nights in Mancos at the Sundance Bear Lodge in the summer. It was a wonderful place to stay while we visited Mesa Verde National Park. The proprietors were lovely, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area, and the food was delicious. It is close to Durango and Mesa Verde, a great place to stay if...

Thanks so much for the kind words. We've been in business for 19 years and enjoy meeting all of our guests. Each year we learn a little more about Mesa Verde ; 2016 was a difficult year for the park with Spruce Tree House closed. This is closing the holiday (Dec.) special event too. Overall I think the park did...

We were on a roadtrip, so we could only stay one night, but it was SO totally worth it! Bob and Sue are the best hosts on this planet. So friendly, nice and full of smiles. The setting is better than any postcard. To be able to see the milky way at night is really something and a great plus!...

Bob and Sue are wonderful hosts at this B & B. Pepper, the dog, does her best to make you feel welcome as well! The hosts are welcoming, knowledgable, and hospitable. We spent 3 wonderful nights here! Loved our room in the lodge, looking out on the pond, all the Native American artifacts in the rooms. The meals were excellent as...

The hosts of the Sundance Bear Lodge, Sue and Bob, were welcoming, knowledgeable, and very hospitable. Staying there was like having our own personal tour guides to the area! They provided us with several valuable "tips" on navigating Mesa Verde National Park, which is located just minutes away. Sue's breakfasts are amazing! We would recommend their home to anyone, and...

Arrived early afternoon, nice visit with owner Sue learned a lot about their history. Owner Bob joint us after finishing his work on the entry sign. Note, we really appreciated the well lite solar powered entry on the dark road when returning late from a great dinner at Olio Resturant in town. Everything was, sunny, clean, well organized plus a...

We just spent four nights at the cabin here. We brought our mountain bikes, four horses and kiddos. I can't say enough about the hospitality of Bob and Sue. Bob was available whenever we needed anything and was just all around super kind. He helped us start a bonfire to roast marshmellows with the kids one night with his "boy...

Found the Sundance Bear on line. Booked a month in advance. Easily done. We arrived by car from Santa Fe and were greeted at door by the owner Bob. He is very knowledgeable about all the Indian ruins in the area. Gave us great advice on going to Mesa Verde which is close by. The room was great. They leave...

The log cabin is your own little rustic home with views of Mesa Verde, La Plata Mountains and Sleeping Ute Mountain where you can enjoy great sundowns from every side of your own home. You can enjoy some hiking from your doorstep and whatveer you find long your trail will be added to the vitrine under the glass table cover...

Thanks for the rave review! In 2017 the cabin will be available for multi-night stays of 3 or more nights, so we hope guests will begin planning those vacations. The log cabin is optimal for 2 guests but can suit up to 4; self cater in 2017. There's lots more to see and do -- beyond Mesa Verde -- in...
