Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a hard one to review. The owner and staff were very nice and they are trying very hard however the hotel is very old and dated and while the bed was comfortable and there was hot water, the facilities are not very good. It is a great location and the price was OK, there is no double you are in a very very budget hotel. I quess it all comes down to what you will accept. No staff after 11pm and they give you a 3rd room key to keep in you car for "Emergencies". There are NO ELEVATORS to the 2nd floor, only one ice machine and it is not convenient to get to. Breakfast was so-so. Again, it was obvious the owner is trying hard to make things comfortable however you can only do so much with a very very old property.

Hotel's Favourite
I thought the room was great. Clean and spacious with lots of tv channels to choose from. It is centrally located and close to just about everything. The hotel also has a light at the entrance which makes it very easy to get onto the busy street.

Great location directly by the entrance to Garden of the Gods. Comfortable beds. mini fridge and microwave in room. Plenty of free parking. Free hot breakfast was decent. Be aware of the red light cameras in the area.

We recently visited Manitou Springs for business and stayed at this Quality Inn with a large group. I would not recommend this property. The rooms are not clean. The hallways and grounds are cluttered with garbage. The sidewalks and walkways are dangerous with broken pavers and curbing. The people that work there are not friendly. The breakfast area was not clean so we did not try any of the food. We were told on more than one occasion that they did not have clean towels available. We will not be going back…

First of all, I checked out the room and found mold in the bathroom and a hair on the bed sheet. I asked for a different room, the staff said all rooms were booked, on a Tuesday night, I don't think so. Beds were good and the internet was great. Morning shower was awful, no plastic bath mat in the tub. I was lucky to hang on to a bar before killing myself. Breakfast was a joke Cigarette butts and trash are everywhere on the property. Barking dog. I left 2 items in the room and I asked polite Jose`if the housekeeper found them. He said he did have them. I asked him to please put them in a bag and my daughter picked them up with no problem. The beds were comfortable and the internet was great. This place needs new owners or managers, people who know what clean looks like. I would give this hotel/motel a 2 at best. In the end, stay somewhere else.

Floors were dirty Wall light fixture between beds is at a height that glares on the TV and is not convenient to turn on/off while in bed. Desk table lamp had a broken outlet , would not hold a plug. Bath amenities were not provided without asking. Front desk closes at 11. Did not see this info when the making reservations. Bath faucet is configured backwards. Cold on the left, hot on the right, The sink drain plug would not close. Hole in the bed linens.

Short one mile bike ride to Garden of the Gods park. Avoid the parking hassles. Cross Manitou Ave on Beckers Ln. to the Trading Post entrance. Quiet 20mph street to and from the park. The Hotel has clean remodeled rooms, some with kitchenettes.

The hotel is located very conveniently for touring the Garden of the Gods, which is one of the reasons we chose it. Our room was newly updated--- it even had that new construction smell about it. In fact, I'm not sure they were really finished with it before they rented it out. Our shower did not have a soap dish or a place to hang a towel near it (although bits of the old towel rack were still on the wall and had been painted over). Our room was also not very clean. It looked clean, but within 2 minutes of being there, the bottoms of our socks were filthy, like the floor had not been swept since the construction crew left. The free breakfast was average. Plus side: Updated rooms. Ours had a kitchenette with cook top and nearly full size fridge (as well as the mini fridge). Location Down side: Two of the new light fixtures were covered in paint/ spackle and the new bedspread had paint on it as well (who paints a room with the bedspread in it?). It seemed like some things were missing in the bathroom and the room configuration was odd. There was only one chair in the room, which was wedged between the door and the bed. Not a very comfy place to sit and relax, especially since you couldn't see the TV from there.

They are in the middle of a remodel so there is a lot of old furniture sitting behind the hotel. There is construction debris in the parking lot. But our 1 night stay was pretty good. The updated rooms have beautiful fixtures. Vanity with a back lit mirror. New floors. The rooms still need decor but were clean and comfy. The switch in the bathroom was messed up. When you turn the fan on the light would go off. The new owner who I had a very nice conversation with, said he was aware and the electrician was working to fix it. They did have a nice covered sitting area out front with patio furniture and picnic tables. I think will be very nice once the remodel is complete.

This hotel seemed clean and maintained. The maintenance guy seemed to always be walking around doing something. The employees we encountered were very friendly. There was a nice sitting area outside the office area. Our room was spacious and had vinyl wood plank flooring instead of carpeting which I thought was a plus. The breakfast was very good. They had a lot of variety of items from which to choose. The only drawback and reason that I didn't rate it 5 stars is there is no one in the lobby or on call in case of problems from 11pm to 7am. They actually give you an extra key to put somewhere else in case you lose your key to your room between those times. We had someone walking back and forth along the corridor talking on his cell at 1am. We really weren't sure what was going on and didn't have anyone to call. Not sure if this is normal practice or not.

Yes our office hours are 7am to 11pm. This is listed on all our online sites and on out two entry doors. We inform you of this at check in as well. I reviewed the cameras and the person walking back and forth was a guest near you going to the smoking area to have a cigarette.
