This is a beautiful hotel both inside and out. The recent renovations makes the rooms feel like new, but with a Victorian feel. Very friendly staff that upgraded our room to a spa tub for free. The staff greats you every time you pass and make sure you are happy with your stay. The room included turn down service and...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 4 October 2016

The Cliff House in Manitou Springs is a highly recommend establishment. The hotel is said to be the oldest hotel in Colorado under continuous operation as a hotel. The renovations at this establishment are very well done. The veranda, patio and the public areas are extremely inviting. Hotel appointments in the public areas, and especially those of historical significance, are...

The service was great, the room was comfortable, the food was awesome, can't wait to go back. We are going to make it a yearly tradition. We walked to shops and had lunch at a local place. Nice little town the locals make you feel welcome.

The Cliff House has a storied, and somewhat checkered, past, but it is presently in grand condition, and offers superb service. The named suites (Teddy Roosevelt, Henry Ford, etc.) are large and filled with beautiful period pieces, plus fireplaces and jet-stream tubs. The hotel restaurant is excellent; I recommend the duck and the trout dishes. Beautiful breakfast spread and some...

Really enjoyed our stay at The Cliff House. It really wasn't long enough to explore the hotel and the area. What a fantastic piece of Colorado history right down to the details. The hotel has been fully updated and is very comfortable. Lots of history here. What was old is new again. This time of year is really a nice...

We loved this wonderful hotel...such a nice change of pace from all the sterile, modern hotels. Easy, walkable access to town. Very comfortable room/bed and we really enjoyed the bar/lounge area in the evenings. Staff very helpful with directions and information since we were tourists. Highly recommend.

This is such a charming hotel! I was told it is the oldest in Colorado, but the modern amenities are there. This will sound strange, but I LOVED the heated toilet seat. Stop laughing, you will, too. Who knew! I was in one of the celebrity suites, so I enjoyed a nice fire each evening, good Wi-Fi connection, tasty coffee...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
What makes a hotel truly special?Prestige? Romance? Luxury? As a four diamond Colorado Springs Hotel, these attributes are very important, and we have each of them in abundance, but none of them matter as much as... the stories. The stories that are started here, by brides and grooms celebrating their weddings. The stories that are commemorated here, when couples choose us for their anniversaries. The stories that are shared here, when family vacations become unforgettable memories. Our stories really do matter: they define who we are. You see, as the premier historic hotel of the Greater Colorado Springs area, our history is forever intertwined with what we are today. In fact, The Cliff House is older than the State of Colorado itself! And just like your story, we have had our ups and downs: we have played host to famous dignitaries, and we have been a barracks for soldiers. Later floods and fires have even threatened our hotel's very existence. But, just like you, we've persevered. After our extensive remodel and grand re-opening in 1999, we quickly proved that The Cliff House is once again one of Colorado's finest luxury hotels. Nestled at the foot of majestic Pikes Peak, we've managed to keep all the trappings of Victorian elegance and luxury and also become a leader in innovative room features with state-of-the-art technology. Since 2001, we've consecutively received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for both the hotel and our dining room. Our dining room has also received the DiRoNa Award, and Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence, every year. From our world-class fine dining, our amazing rooms, personalized service, our fun new bar and grill, to the limitless experiences and activities Manitou Springs has to offer: we are confident that you will love your stay here... and what a story you'll have to tell! We're proud of our history. Come share yours with us! We're within ten minutes of downtown Colorado Springs, but (rest assured) a world away! ... more   less
