Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our room was spotless. The bed was firm, but very comfortable. The decor was perfect and cosy. Great location, being close to Blenhiem Palace and Oxford. Lovely walk across the road that leads to the Blenhiem grounds. Lot's of free parking. Really enjoyed our stay!

Cute little hotel on the edge of Blenhiem Palace. Easy access to many Cotswold villages and also amazingly easy to get to Oxford City by train. Staff were great and helpful. Plenty of parking and a lovely country path across the road that leads to the Blenhiem grounds. Would highly recommend to fellow travellers.

I used Churchill Court for a business meet-up and enjoyed a full English breakfast. Super tasty food, the sausage was so flavoursome. Almost didn't take a picture in time as just wanted to get stuck in! Highly recommend and will definitely come back here for meetings and food! Thank you :)

Room 12 - their most deluxe room: Cleanliness - OK, except for the filth under the sofas which had not been cleaned; only noticed because I dropped something underneath and looked to find it - shocking! Kitchen - nice, except for the fact the fridge stank to high heaven each time it was opened; was disgusting but clean inside. It likely might be due to not being used too often: Fridges need to be used to stay clean and fresh. Cleaners - re-arranged things in the room, and threw away what they decided was rubbish but wasn't. Barely got an apology or an offer to replace the item. Be warned! Towels - barely enough for each person; one each - a hand towel which had to be used for your whole body. Water temperarture of the shower - either scalding hot ot freezing cold. This is shared with the kitchen and when they use appliances or the sink, this affects the room's shower temperature; very unpleasant. Breakfast - sparse and cheap Location - very good in terms of Oxford and activities Toilet paper - one roll only Rubbish bins - so tiny that one item thrown away filled it up All in all a disappointing stay, but the surrounding areas are lovely, and if you do choose to stay there, I would suggest one of the smaller rooms, as at least you know what you're getting. Not worth the money!

Lovely cosy hotel, my room had a modern/traditional decor. Addition of a little fridge which was extremely handy. Breakfast was provided with a smile in a lovely room, looked like they offered cakes, lunch good selection of drinks for additional price. Few minutes walk from the train station and good location for visiting Blenheim palace.

Very friendly and efficient welcome - lovely explanation covering breakfast, key doors, entry into bulding after hours, etc. The room was large and spacious with sofa and kitchen. Fantastic position for visiting Blenheim Palace - also directly opposite recently opened path which leads to the lake and Palace beyond. Staff were absolutely charming and nothing was too much bother. Breakfast was great - good choice and freshly cooked to order and served by very friendly team of ladies. A very enjoyable stay - thank you.

WOW !!! What a great find ! Me & the Wife stayed in room 5 and our friends in room 4. Room 5 was much better having a large bathroom and leather sofa. Couldn’t fault the room, great TV, tea & coffee, good aircon/heater, lovely bed, safe and mini fridge. Spotless ! Check in really easy, receptionists great laugh & couldn’t do enough for us. Good car park and 2 mins walk to train station to Oxford which is one stop away and £4 return off peak. Directly across the road from the hotel is a gated access leading to Blenheim Palace. Lovely cafe for breakfast which is served to the table, full English to eggs Benedict and just about every cereal, juice and yoghurt choice. Couldn’t fault it and I’m very picky ! Loved the place and so will you. Thanks so much to the whole team.

Like a tiny Travelodge, staffed minimally, offering an inexpensive, small, secure room, a very nice breakfast, and almost nothing else. Sometimes it's like you are staying in a tiny Overlook Hotel--might be haunted. If you just can't make it any farther than the Hanborough rail station, or you just have to sleep close to Blenheim Palace, then maybe this is your place. But watch out--Hanbororugh and environs close early on Sundays--we had to hit the fish'n-chips shop a good way up the road to find dinner, after arriving a few minutes after 5. And Blenheim Palace is a long walk around--the free shuttle bus that used to stop in front of Churchill Court no longer runs..
