This is a very nice B&B. I don't think you can fine nicer accommodations in the area, but that being said, it's not the Four Seasons. It's not fancy; it is comfortable and very pet centered. We stayed in the Sawatch Suite which was very spacious. The two balconies face north with great views of the mountains to the west....

Hi there - It's Gina, and I am sorry we didnt have a chance to meet! I am so glad you had a nice experience at the lodge. Aren't the goats sweet? About those balconies, maybe you didnt notice but we do provide folding chairs in the closet for people to sit outside on them. We keep them inside as...

I've been here with my husband half a dozen times and have brought friends and family here half a dozen more. The locale is gorgeous, the lodge and rooms are wonderful, the food is great, the owners are a hoot, and the dog-friendly and animal-loving vibe reliably attracts interesting and nice folks from all over. We just love it here...

We are repeat customers and love this place more every time we visit. It really feels like we have family with a house in the mountains! The rooms are terrific. The food is great. We love the animals and the property as a whole. And then there's Gina and D'arcy. They are so welcoming, generous, and down to earth. Seriously...if...

My husband and I stayed in the Princeton room on the 2nd floor of the lodge with our 2 dogs. We had great views of the mountains and valley. The lodge itself is very beautiful and well kept. We were provided with everything we needed in the room for ourselves and the dogs (including dog beds and treats). In the...

We stayed here for out 14th anniversary and were not disappointed. The B&B was lovely and our room was wonderful, overlooking the barn and the mountains beyond. I am a goat lover so watching and interacting with the goats was a great time. Feeding the chickens was very entertaining as well. Our hosts were very gracious and the food was...

This trip was in early September. We stayed at the Mountain Goat Lodge which was very comfortable, relaxing and conveniently located for some wonderful bicycle rides. From the Lodge you can do a spinner around Salida or take a short 6 mile cruise into town on a beautiful back road. We also launched a fabulous ride up to Mount Princeton...

After our wedding we were scheduled to go camping with friends but wanted one nice night before roughing it. The Mountain Goat Lodge filled the bill perfectly with a luxury room and an outstanding breakfast. And our dog loved it too!!

This is a great place to stay as a base camp while enjoying all there is to do in the Salida area. Why stay at a blah Hampton Inn when you can stay at the Goat Mountain Lodge?????...

My husband and I and our 3 year old son stayed here for a long weekend in one of the retro camper vans. We had such a fun stay! The camper vans are new and in really good shape, for a camper the beds are comfortable and the shower etc all worked great. The third bed which is formed by...

It was amazing to wake up in the middle of the night and see the Big Dipper, larger than life it seems, right outside the window in our room (Princeton room) and, a couple hours later, to hear the coyotes howling and barking. We enjoyed all the animals here, too; geese pecking at the door to the shed when the...
