We recommend this place. Why? First, the three, count them - three wood / gas stoves. And stay in the master suite...very cozy. Our gregarious hosts Bob and Cindy cooked up two delicious breakfasts, shared conversation, and invited us over to play the grand piano in their beautifully-remodeled home next door. Bob pointed us to several scrumptious restaurants and offered...

Our stay with Bob and Cindy at the Mariposa made our vacation. Steamboat has alot of places that offer spots for sleeping, but this was a lodging experience altogether different than the norm. The breakfasts were gourmet, the home entertainment center was great. (bring a favorite movie with good sound!!) An excellent experience that we highly recommend for the traveler...

Four of us stayed here for 5 nights, and we could not have been more pleased. Bob and Cindy were engaging hosts, and each morning there was a unique breakfast, hearty enough to hold you for a hard day's skiing! They were lovely to chat with, which was generally over the breakfast table while we were eating (and while they...

The Mariposa is a hidden treat in Steamboat Springs! We stayed at the inn for a 5-day, music festival/skiing weekend and the experience exceeded all my expectations. Bob and Cindy are charming, attentive hosts that whip together truly magnificent breakfasts. The state of the art home theater, down comforters, gas fireplaces/stoves, and whirlpool tub made it tough to get out...

I stayed at the Mariposa in January of 2007, and I have nothing but good things to say. The Innkeepers, Bob and Cindy, couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. In regard to the Inn itself, the location is excellent. Just a couple miles to the slopes and an easy walk to downtown. It's also very well decorated and very...

Usually when I travel, all I require is a place that is safe, conveniently located and clean, after all, I am just looking for a place to be unconscious and sleep. Paul's place is more than that. It's a "traveler's find". You certainly can stay here to just sleep, but you'd be missing out. Paul makes you feel right at...

I must contain myself when I speak of the Mariposa since there is not a thing that simply is not perfect. From the casual lassez faire attitude of the owner, Paul Greco, to the inspired authentic southwestern decor, to the overwhelmingly delicious and fulfilling breakfasts! This is truly a b&b's b&b!

10 years ago..Former ski patrolman and present fisherman (Paul) built a Santa Fe style house by hand...started a great B&B. Log beds, quiet pond, intimate setting, and Gourmet beakfast with espresso included in the room price!! Yum. We had big slabs of french toast, peaches, canadian bacon. Condos cannot compare with the graciousness provided by this friendly incredible host. 2...

A wonderful spot! My girlfriend and I stayed at Mariposa charming little B&B and had a great time. The place is very clean and has a one of a kind Santa-Fe-like atmosphere. The morning cappuccino, French toast, Canadian bacon and fresh fruit were just delicious. Paul is a great host and a wonderful chef. He lets you have your privacy...

Mariposa Bed & Breakfast was a nice surprise. It is a quiet place to stay and the hospitality was wonderful. Paul made us feel welcome and and the breakfast was leasurely and very good. The southwest theme is carried out in the rooms and the food. Recommend going to the Strawberry Park hotsprings.
