A delightful base for exploring the region, midway between Giverny and Rouen. We were there at the end of October, a bit off-season, so they were not serving meals (except breakfast) at the hotel, but Mme Breban gave us excellent restaurant advice, and helped us plan our visits to the surrounding area.

We visited this excellent farm on the way to the Sancerre - our host Sophie was welcoming and very helpful. The river which runs along side the farm is magical. All child entertaining animals present and correct - chickens, ducks, geese and donkeys. We will be going back, and will next time take advantage of the disco/night club built in...

For the last three years we have headed over to northern France for the tail-end of the summer before our kids head back to school, an adventure for our boys, a chance for them to experience a different culture away from the traditional hotel holidays. Every year it’s the same, a frantic scouring of the internet, searching for the perfect...

This is a wonderful place. Located in the countryside with a river running close by - in which it's possible to swim; a real joy! - it is peaceful and relaxing. There are plenty of walks and places to visit nearby. The hosts are charming and really helpful, and our room was spacious, light-filled and very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent.

Incredibly beautiful house and grounds, maintained with loving care. Sophie, our hostess, was wonderful on many levels. The breakfasts were out of this world -- home made breads, jams, cakes, apple juice from nearby orchards -- and what wasn't home-made was spectacular as well. When it was time to leave, we were uncertain about the best itinerary for the day,...

We stayed here after 5 days at the LeMans 24 hour race and it was beautiful, a quiet and relaxing couple of days. Our room was gorgeous with a generous sized bathroom and lovely wooden beams. Comfy bed, everything was spotless. The interior decor of the whole house is gorgeous - Sophie has exquisite taste! Wander around outside and see...

Just spent three days (& nights) at La Ferme des Isles. Lovely place to stay, great position in the Normandy countryside (Impressionist country). Rooms very nice, wonderful gardens. Breakfast very good (we did not eat in the evening - but it all looked very nice). Excellent value for money. Well located for visiting the Monet Gardens & Museum at Giverny....

There's little to add to what has gone before except perhaps to say that the warm welcome and magnificent catering (not to mention excellent and copious wine) continue to be in abundant supply. Do try to ensure, if possible, that there will be the requisite 6 people for dinner when you stay as it would be a great pity to...

This place is a hidden gem, 15-20mn away from Giverny by car. We arrived there in the evening with one kid and one person with reduced mobility. Sophie gave us a warm welcome, arranged our booking in a nearby restaurant and made sure we well settled in the two rooms we had booked. Both rooms were very well decorated, one...

We arrived late but there was a meal ready for us. As a family of 7 we are not always the easiest to accommodate but Sophie was wonderful and arranged the bedding well in the lovely cottage. We came to La Ferme des Isles not long after it had first opened so were delighted to be able to revisit.
