It is nearly three weeks since we stayed at West Longridge Manor and as we keep telling all our friends how good it was, we must write a review. From the moment we arrived we were well looked after by Robert who was an excellent host. Nothing was too much trouble and this also shows in the beautifully appointed bedrooms and other rooms for guests. Everything in the rooms shows the care that the host has lavished on this property. Do not forget this is a bed and Breakfast - not a hotel - but iti is a luxury one. Very strongly recommended by us.

We have stayed with Robert before in Honeysuckle cottage but this year we stayed in the Garden House. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Robert is a lovely guy and greeted us on arrival and made us really welcome. After a chat and putting the world to rights we entered the house and were amazed at the size of the rooms and the facilities. The kitchen was a good size and well equipped, the dining was adjacent with views of the garden and livestock including a pair of Llamas, which we allowed to feed on a few occasions, also there were scones, sponge, jam and cream awaiting us on arrival. The lounge on the first floor had wonderful views across the countryside and a fire had been lit for our arrival. Three double bedrooms all with en-suite facilities, two on the first floor and one on the ground floor. Highly recommend you stay here if you ever want to stay near Berwick-on-Tweed with easy access to many of the tourist sites around Northumberland

Just had a lovely three night stay with Robert, the host. We experienced a very high standard of spotless accommodation where the host greets you with tea/cake upon arrival. Breakfasts are extensive and freshly cooked, where nothing was too much trouble
Thank you for allowing us to share your wonderful home. We would love to return and cannot recommend highly enough

We stayed with the lovely Robert at his beautiful home for 4 nights. From arriving to leaving today the experience was 5 star and Robert could not have looked after us any better. The accommodation is superb in every aspect to the luxurious bed to the stunning roll top bath. Robert should be proud of his home it is beautifully decorated throughout. We also made friends with his 2 lamas who were wonderfully friendly👍😄

The accommodation is located 10 mins drive from Berwick upon tweed where there are a few good eateries 🍔 our personal favourite was Limoncello’s reasonably priced and lovely decor.

For a day away the fishing village of St Abbs is stunning and really does deserve a visit 😄 also the village of Bamburgh which is about 30 mins from Berwick is worth a visit. The castle looks beautiful however you need to book tickets on line before visit as there is limited numbers allowed each day.

We would like to thank Robert for his hospitality and genuine warmth it was very much appreciated. The cooked breakfast is a must for those who like a good start to your day ❤️ All in all we would have no hesitation in recommending Roberts Home for a restful and peaceful get away👍. 5 star plus from us Robert.

Regards Joe and Charlotte

We feel incredibly lucky to have "found" this gem of a place. We had a wonderful two night bed and breakfast stay at West Longridge Manor staying in the "Cheviot " ensuite bedroom. The room was beautifully furnished , impeccably clean and the attention to detail was exquisite.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Robert the owner/host of this wonderful place. We were shown to our room then invited into the dining room for a warm drink and a delicious slice of homemade Victoria sandwich cake served in beautiful china with the added luxury of a freshly laundered linen napkin. It felt like stepping back into a bygone era where such a simple pleasure was a celebration of the senses.

Breakfast was fabulous. Fresh fruit, cereal a selection of homemade breads, freshly baked scones and juices adorned the breakfast buffet. Tea and coffee were served along with a varied choice of freshly prepared cooked

foods which if required were selected the previous evening along with your requested time for breakfast. I can highly recommend the leek fritters topped with eggs poached to perfection with a dash of sweet chilli sauce (optional).

Ideally situation to explore the surrounding areas, West Longridge Manor truly is a remarkable place. We will definitely be returning.

West Longridge Manor offers fantastic accommodation, the high quality of decor, fittings and furniture really make this a home from home.
The picturesque setting with stunning views just add to the overall beauty, located just outside Berwick and within an easy drive to the stunning Northumbria coast, this is a great base for holiday.
Recently the accommodation has benefited from a welcomed upgrade in fibre broadband, helping keep the whole family online while on holiday!!
We shall be certainly adding to our 4 precious stays - availability allowing !!

From the time of our initial enquiry to the day we left, Robert could not have been more helpful. He took our booking but wouldn't take a deposit until the situation around lockdown was more certain, this was so helpful as it was a replacement trip for a holiday that was cancelled last year. When we arrived there was a delicious cream tea with scones and victoria sponge, including a gluten free slice for myself. The accommodation is probably the best we have stayed in for self-catering. The kitchen is the most equipped we've ever stayed at. 3 double bedrooms, all of a very good size and all with en suite facilities. The kitchen/dining area has doors opening onto a small courtyard area with a table and seating and stunning views across the countryside. We loved seeing the sheep, lambs, calves and Llamas every day. It was lovely to come back to after a day out and our children wanted to see Manolo and Mika (the Llamas) to feed them. There is a very good sized bedroom with wet room on the ground floor. Upstairs, there are 2 further double rooms, one is a twin and also a delightful sitting room with an open fireplace. Nothing was too much trouble and Robert was always on hand should we need anything.

Highly recommend a visit to Berwick Upon Tweed, Bamburgh Castle, Lindisfarne, Etal, Heatherslaw and Ford, Flodden, Branxton, Norham. There is so much to see, we will be back. There are Boat trips in Berwick and also a trip over the border to Eyemouth to go on the rib trip around the protected marine reserve coast was another highlight.

Wonderful friendly host and accommodation. Robert, the owner greeted us with coffee and home-made cake. The Manor House has been lavishly decorated by Robert with opulent furnishings. Our room had a huge comfortable bed and in the big bathroom I made use of the luxuriously deep roll top bath. There was a great choice of breakfasts made with good quality food, we had delicious pork and apple sausages and creamy scrambled eggs! All served with different types of home-made bread and scones on a table laid with linen cover and napkins, silver cutlery and china plates. Generous and unique sums up this house and Robert. My husband and I only stayed two nights before returning to our Scottish home but I hope we can stay longer the next time.

Absolutely fabulous stay!! Robert is the most delightful host. Every single detail of our stay was perfection, from the cleanliness, to the exquisite furnishings. Nothing is too much trouble for Robert, who tirelessly ensures your stay is the best it can possibly be. The breakfast is delicious, with numerous options and the scrambled eggs are the best I have ever eaten. We stayed in the Paxton room which is beautifully decorated with the most comfy bed, ensuring we slept the best nights sleep in many years! The shower was amazing and the addition of complimentary Molton Brown products was a delightful touch. We can’t recommend this incredible accommodation enough and surely this must be the best B&B in the UK?!

Just had a wonderful 3 day break at west Longridge Manor. From the moment we arrived, to Robert chasing us with the wife’s dressing down that we forgot, was magical.
Robert met us at the door, showed us our room and invited us for tea and cake.
The room was immaculate, large and very well furnished. The bathroom was a good size with Moulton Brown products for your use.
The breakfast was very good with fruit, cereals and an assortment of main courses. We had the full breakfasts on all days, beautifully cooked and presented.
The Manor is ideally situated about 1.5 miles off the A1. Very handy for visiting Berwick upon Tweed and Holy Island.
We have stayed in good hotels all over the Uk and Europe but this was the best value for money anywhere.
Treat yourself to a break in Berwick and stay with Robert. You will be delighted with your choice.
