There's a reason that this B&B is 1/2 as expensive as other options in the area (a point of pride on their website). The shell appears to be a sort of charming New England farmhouse, but inside, all charm has been stripped away. It felt almost like a old-style nursing home with sterile appointments. As far as cleanliness, I had... More

Handy economical alternative when visiting the Berkshires. B&B, big house, nice views. Owners very nice. Quiet. About 25 min south of the Berkshire madness, and a great deal less costly in the summer high season.

I recently stayed at Locust Tree Bed and Breakfast for a second time. My daughter performed at the Sharon Playhouse in Sharon, CT in the summers of 2015 and 2016 -- Locust Tree is about a 30-minute drive from Sharon so it is an excellent option for a region where reasonably-priced accommodations are hard to find. Both times, I reserved... More

Cozy and comfortable bed & breakfast on the hillside east of Canaan. The owners are friendly and helpful. I left some items at the there and they were kind enough to box them up and send them to me vis the US Mail. Breakfast was delicious (as it should be at a B&B).

We stayed one night and the room was very comfortable and spacious. We shared a bathroom, but this turned out to be okay as bnb not that busy. The hosts were friendly and provided an excellent breakfast in the morning. The property has a gorgeous veranda overlooking a lovely property, unfortunately it was too cold to enjoy it.

My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay at the Locust Tree Bed and Breakfast while we were in the area checking out the beautiful fall colors. There are not a ton of options in the region and so this was a great find at a very reasonable price. The owners are very friendly and made us an excellent... More

I was not pleased at ALL with this B&B. There were many bugs in the bathroom, there was hair everywhere in the room and the whole place reeked of smoke (Our room smelled of feces as well). Cigarette buds were around every corner you turned. Not to mention the management was EXTREMELY rude and not accommodating at all. There were... More

Great place, immaculate and welcoming. Get to walk through the kitchen to the dining room and it is spotless, as is the rest of the B&B. Breakfast is cooked to order and beautifully done. This is a place you could just stay a couple of days and not leave the property. Rocking chairs and hammock on the wrap-a-round , second... More

With not a lot of choices in the region, a good hotel is always a concern. But - Locust Tree Bed and Breakfast was GREAT! On our return, had to tell my husband not to expect such delicious breakfasts any more. Thanks for taking such good care of us. We will be back.

Booked this B&B because of it proximity to where my father is staying. We were very glad to have the Locust Tree as our home base. Rooms are very clean as is the rest of the house, and they have a great porch you can sit and enjoy the breezes after your return. They serve a full breakfast each morning... More
