Property's Favourite Review
Summerland, in the village of Kastraki, offers us a wonderful apartment. Even though I need help (I have a very poor mobility), everything works out here! We really get all the help. The service is, in general, on all fronts, very high. The breakfast is perfect, and we dine here every day to our complete satisfaction. Summerland as a complex is wonderfully spacious. The area is rural, quiet and very close to the beautiful beaches. In short, we will gladly come back next spring!

A lovely, friendly family run resort which feels like staying in a small village.
Our family room is 2 storey with 2 single beds (mattresses on concrete bases) downstairs and a double bed (mattress on concrete base) and bathroom upstairs with a balcony overlooking the pool with spectacular sunset sea views. Room has a fridge, kettle and glasses/mugs. No doors between living room and upstairs bedroom.
Resort has 2 pools and a shallow kids pool, a lovely bar (only closed 3-6pm), table tennis, plenty of sunbeds and Mama the resident cat!
Buffet breakfast every morning 8.30 - 10.30
5 mins walk from beachfront bus stop (bus 1 hour to Chora Port / Naxos Town, 3.2e), also 2 restaurants a mini mart and the gorgeous Kastraki beach. The sand on the beach isn't soft, grainier than other beaches, but quiet and beautiful with crystal clear water for swimming.
Games and books in reception to borrow. Just a lovely friendly, family resort / hotel.
We took a taxi from port to resort (40e) but the bus is only 3.2e each, takes 45 min port to Kastraki and goes from opposite the port and even stopped at the entrance to resort rather than at the beach.

We arrived at the property on a hot August afternoon and honestly the first impression wasn't the best.
Apparently an old and somewhat neglected structure. Instead, once past the reception it turns out to be a little gem..
The resort is similar to a small village, very nice and well-kept, with two swimming pools, comfortable and soft deckchairs, a very nice room with a small terrace overlooking the sea.
The location is quiet, away from the more touristy areas and this can be pleasant but also have its downsides.
The buses are not so frequent and the center is far away, there are no car/motorcycle/quad rentals in the immediate vicinity.
We asked the owner for information as soon as we arrived and he gave us a telephone number explicitly asking us not to involve him (negative note). We made do with a bus to the port the next day, but this should be taken into consideration if you want to tour the island independently and not stay alone in the area.
Another negative note: breakfast.
Abundant but some foods were really poor quality, somehow we made do but half of the things remained on the plate after being tasted.

After being welcomed in a glacial way, once we entered the room, we found a cockroach, hair, hair, dust, a generalized filth. We asked for the room to be cleaned or alternatively changed; they then gave us a new room but the same problem arose again: ants, hair, dust, cobwebs, dirt and bathroom in disastrous conditions with sewer smell. We asked the owner again to clean the room and in the meantime the Owner intervened in an over the top tone and menacingly asked us if we wanted the room or not and that the problem was a problem of limestone and “guests” and not cleaning. So we decided to change hotels.
Beware of reviews that say it is clean.
And have a laugh about the owners' answers since they will deny everything as usual fairies in negative reviews.
Ps only positive note: Kastraki beach.

As we pulled in we were pleased that we were to spend a week here adorned with trees tiki style umbrellas pools a wonderful hot tub and more. Our rooms had many accommodations: we loved the privacy immaculate and a/c. And our most favorite the daily breakfast with a daily new menu item and so many choices drinks food …
The owners were accommodating with all our questions giving us wonderful recommendations.
The staff were kind and very accommodating as well.
Thank you Summerland for a treasured memory 🩵🤍🩵💙💙💙

We chose to start our honeymoon here and we did not regret it at all!
It is a quiet place to stay, in a very beautiful location, everything you need for relaxation.
The room is beautiful, it combines the modern with the traditional and the bed was very comfortable.
Rich breakfast, covering all preferences.
There is the bar and the kitchen where you can order whatever you want, almost at all hours of the day.
The hotel has two swimming pools, equally beautiful. It also has a shaded area, for those who want to avoid the sun.
The staff and management were very kind people, always willing to help us.
Room service was daily and responsive to whatever extras we asked for. (Ex. Extra towels)
It should be noted that it is located in a quiet area of Naxos, so if you want hustle and bustle, bars, etc. it would be ideal to rent a car, motorbike or get comfortable with public transport which is fine. (Taxi, buses)
Near the hotel there are very good restaurants, taverns and beaches.
And our next time on the island, we will make the same choice. We highly recommend it. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

We had an excellent stay in this lovely little resort in Kastraki. Both manager and staff were very welcoming; it was easy and quick check in. Very nice triple room with comfortable beds. And a very nice terrace. Nice and clean bathroom with a very good shower. Swimming pools (two for adults and oen for children) and one jacuzzi available next to bar area. Nice sand beach nearby with a couple of wooden umbrellas. Very good buffet breakfast with eggs, sausages, pancakes, cheese, tomato, cucumber, etc. Great value for money, definitely recommended.

Check in was fine and we were told we had been "upgraded" to an apartment. The room was tired, broken ceiling fan and tiny cramped shower with restricted flow and limited hot water. No basics such as tea, coffee or bottled water. We had been told by manager not to drink the water due to supply on the island being low and heavily calcified.
Upon us and friends raising various concerns the manner changed to aggressive, threatening and blaming everyone else including ourselves for the problems. Apparently I did not know how to turn the hot water tap on properly 😂
In trying to show me how the hot water worked he turned the tap on full for at least 5 minutes, and hey presto - only lukewarm. Apparently the governments fault for not letting him use the booster.
This is a tired worn out hotel with a manager that I believe would put Basil Fawlty to shame.
Location is very isolated. You are better to stay in Naxos Port where we relocated to after 2 night

We stayed at the SUMMERLAND Resort for almost two weeks.
It was a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The room was very large, comfortable and clean. We were lucky to have a huge terrace.
The breakfast buffet was perfectly adequate.
Both pools were very pleasant after the excursions.
As we were unlucky with our transfer to the ferry, the landlady drove us to the harbor (otherwise the ferry would have left without us).
The helpfulness is very great. Thank you very much!
It is easy to go on excursions from the resort with a rented vehicle. Many beaches, including more secluded ones, were easy to reach.
It was an all-round successful vacation.

My family and I finished our 10 day Greece trip with 3 nights at The Naxos Summerland Resort. We were looking to relax, hit some beaches and experience the local foods. This place helped us do all of that and more! The family owned and operated resort was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The resort is rustic yet very comfortable and very clean. The staff gave us recommendations as to restaurants to eat at, beaches to go to and options to get there. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend anyone looking to experience Greece in a quiet resort away from the hustle of Naxos but close enough to still go (about 25 minutes away) and enjoy what it offers.

Esiste un servizio bus locale, ma dalla fermata dovrete camminare almeno 10 minuti ... magari con trolley un po scomodo. Noi abbiamo dato 15 euro a chi ci ha noleggiato scooter in Naxos (On The Road, sig. Kyriakos) e ci ha portati lui con tutti i bagagli dal porto alla struttura (30 minuti di strada).
