First time I had to book a hotel in New Haven and really had no idea where to stay. Was a little concerned given what I'd been reading about the city since my days at dear ole Yale back in the 1970's. Was exceptionally pleased...More
Great place. Good service. Clean rooms. Reasonable price. Very close to college. Our home away from home when we visit our daughter at Yale. We have stayed here many times over the years. I am going to miss this place when she graduates.
Older hotel with clean rooms. Nice breakfast buffet. Don't stay on the 2nd floor which is noisier because it's open to the lobby. No shuttle service. The hotel is in a convenient location close to many restaurants, Yale, and medical studies.
Stayed after a college game in town. Clean, old world type charm. Everyone we spoke to who worked there was pleasant and genuine. Sign in the bathroom said come to the front desk for anything you forgot. My wife forgot q-tips and they had them!...More

Hi George. I'm not sure which pictures you are referring to, but if someone posted pictures of bed bugs from this hotel, I can't attest to their presence or absence. I didn't see bed bugs or signs of bed bugs when I was there. Because NYC can be a source of infestation, I imagine that any hotel frequented by people coming from NYC will get them from time to time. I habitually check mattresses for spots and blood stains (signs of bedbug infestation) when I'm traveling anywhere near NYC, and I didn't see any during my stay. That doesn't mean there aren't any. I just can't speak to it.
The New Haven Hotel is located about a half mile from Union Station. It would be about a 15 minute walk however we would recommend a taxi. Thank you.
