This was my third time at the New Haven Hotel and I really like it. I got an Express deal thru Priceline so it was a good price (altho the $23 parking charge is a pain) so that helps with the overall view of things (not sure what high prices people below paid). The lobby is huge and fairly grand,... More

I reserved this room for my girlfriend B Smith. She was coming back to the states from Africa. She was very pleased with her stay at this hotel. After being in bush for three months, it was quite accommodating. Great hotel to stay at she also wanted to be close to Yale University to visit one of her students.

Checked TripAdvisor and chose this hotel over others for one night stay after thanksgiving. The hotel was quite which was nice but every service and amenity is very much business-like. Lacks personal touch in every aspect. I would recommend for a business traveler alone but not for any family trips.

To be clear upfront, this hotel has every thing you need in a hotel- clean, lobby very elegantly renovated, rooms nice and also newly renovated (but walls are thin!), but it had nothing that really set it apart that would justify the high price we paid for it. Staff wasn't exceptionally friendly, they don't have coffee/tea in the lobby at... More

The room was large enough to share with a college friend for a Yale reunion. The room was extremely clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was huge. The sitting area in the main lobby was swanky and afforded six friends extra time to chat before heading off to bed. The hotel offers a free happy hour in the... More

I've stayed at a few hotels around New Haven on my various trips, and on this most recent one the New Haven Hotel had the most affordable rates. It was my first time staying at this hotel. Overall, I had an excellent experience. I was a bit confused on check in as the desk clerk asked if I'd be okay... More

If you want a lot of space and sturdy comfort this is for you. A big room big big bed with pillowed mattress... Lots of navy blue and dark wood and a comfort and standard that never dates. This hotel is for you. I had a great night's sleep. And the hotel has a delicious smorgasboard breakfast with bacon eggs... More

Very centrally located in proximity of Yale University. Paid parking next to the hotel.Rooms nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. Not bad choice if conducting business in the area or checking out Yale University.

Well appointed hotel with all modcons. However rooms appeared tired and they certainly were dark. Old carpets which made one want to wear slippers. This is a shame because otherwise this is a nice hotel. The foyer is welcoming and so are the receptionists. So it needs a revamp Location is OK it is two blocks away from the lovely... More

For a short stay of one night that mine was, the hotel satisfied my most important prerequisite: closeness to the Yale campus and to New Haven airport. The room was spacious, quiet, and impeccably clean, and the little conveniences sometimes helpful on a business trip, such as an iron and ironing board, or a fluffy robe to relax in after... More
