Utterly unpretentious, the Amsterdam Hotel offers simple accommodations for low prices. Close to I-95, the Amsterdam is therefore convenient to everything in Southern Connecticut or Westchester. Lots of de ent places to eat in neighborhood.
Picked this at random because I needed a place to stay for one night while on assignment for a zero-G flight (don't ask.) Convenient to I-95 and where I needed to be. Also convenient to surrounding area, no problems, would stay here again.
You cannot ask for more for the price. Everything was really clean, especially the bathroom. The person at the front desk was really courteous and polite. Breakfast was a nice addition on the road. The look is dated, but for me even the "old style" has a certain appeal. Great…
Clean, comfortable, basic accommodations. If you need a hot tub, water slide and pool, 2000 calorie breakfast, go elsewhere and pay twice as much. Our only complaint was the poor water pressure in the shower, but it was still sufficient. The breakfast is continental. Attractive…
Dark, dank, moldy, and generally older appearance. I felt like I was in a 40 year old hotel the moment I walked in. It was dark and smelled. Then into the room smelled musty/moldy. It wasn't my choice to stay here, but I hope I don't have to again.
"There is a freeway and a commuter train that travels nearby but they are just regular city noises."
"Avoid this hotel!"
"We were in the middle. Room was very quiet."
"We had dog, so we were on bottom or first floor. might want upper floor if you don't have a pet."
"Go to another hotel for a good room."
