A hidden gem! Perfect for anyone wanting to experience the real Bali away from the maddening crowds! Be aware though that this is not for you if you want crowds, nearby restaurants and bars etc. We had villa 1, the most private one with a brilliant view. The tours the hotel offers are great. Breakfast very good. Limited choice for...

I spent 3 nights in November 2011 at the Munduk Moding Plantation resort, or MMP for short. This is a real secret of Bali… at 1,320m above sea level, this small resort is amidst a coffee plantation on the western slopes of the rim of one of Bali’s three main volcanoes. Facing west, you are treated to the hills of...

This is a really lovely hotel, we stayed in villa 1 which was very private and a gorgeous room. It is very luxurious and perfect for a romantic getaway. The grounds are amazing and you feel like you have been transported into a different world while you are here. The only problem is that because you are in the middle...

We stayed at Munduk Moding Plantation for three nights of our honeymoon in Bali. Upon arrival we were upgraded from a studio room to their Villa 2, which apparently was the villa with the best view. The villa was gorgeous, with large panoramic windows overlooking the hillside and distant mountains. A large room with a lovely four poster bed, but...

We booked the Family package with 1 extra night. Included were our stay in the Grand Suite (Large room with a separate bedroom for our kids, by large balcony - great views), Trekking on the coffeeplantation, hiking to the Munduk Waterfall, tennis/badminton, horse riding for the kids, while we got a massage. It was really awesome! The resort is well...

My wife and I have spent 6 days in Bali - 3 in Amed by the coast and 3 nights at the Munduk Moding Plantation. The drive from Amed was long but interesting but when we reached Munduk Moding Plantation we were blown away by the welcome, the location and the facilities. We stayed in a beautiful villa with fantastic...

Yes this place is beautiful, the rooms are gorgeous, great infinity pool and on a beautiful coffee plantation but we were surprised that there was no emphasis on the coffee plantation. A guided tour of the plantation was offered on the website so we booked in. We arrived at the service desk and were giving a map and told to...

Thank you for your review and for suggesting that MMP offers a 5 star service to its guests: we certainly strive to do this, but as you also point out, we are not quite there yet. As you know, MMP works with largely local staff and there might have been a misunderstanding at the front desk when you asked for...

Munduk Moding Platation is a very special place. Besides the fantastic villa, beautiful surroundings, delicious food - we fell in love with this place because of the atmosphere: from the moment we came here we fell so much relaxed, just to be here is a gift - thanks to the manager and his staff being so kind and service-minded. Thank you for your comments which are very much appreciated. We are very happy that you liked your stay at MMP, we will check what happened at the spa. At the end of the day, in the dry season temperatures drop a bit, this is why we normally provide an electric blanket at the spa at that time and we...
