A halfway stop on our Winster Valley jaunt, the food was excellant again. It was pleasent enough to eat outside. Friendly staff. Potted Shrimp.. tasty, Lamb Hotpot was fantastic as was the Chilli King Prawn Salad which also had in it ..smoked salmon and crayfish....More

Welcomed well,room comfortable but noisy because of water tank in situ and bath a danger as uncertain hot water from central tap catches you unawares. Lovely beers but meal not so good and room tariff a lot. Kindly attentive manager

Enjoyed lunch so much we booked for a party of 7 the next night!We all enjoyed the good food and friendly service.The food was hot and well presented.If you are anywhere in the area you will not be disappointed.

Had supper here one night and enjoyed it immensely. Well cooked, tasty food, ales and wine. Set in lovely countryside, this is a typical country pub with 3 elderly gents in a corner playing dominoes. Good service and reasonably priced. Nothing negative about this inn....More

Masons Arms is 20-25 mins away up a very steep hill, but only about 10 mins to get back! Wouldn 't recommend doing this at night. There is also a longer circular walk you can do via the Masons Arms. Kerry at the Hare... More
