This place is amazing. My husband and I found this place when searching for a place in Clearwater. We had no idea what to expect. When we arrived, we were greeted by the nicest people from the valet to the front desk to even the maintenance people. Everyone at Shephard's was

We stumbled across this and had a blast! The drinks were yummy, the band- albeit 1 guy- was good and people were having a great time. We met people from all over and got everyone up to dance the sunset away! In the area? Give it a go👍🏼

Not necessarily. I did see families with children, but this is a live music resort. We saw people who were partying and impaired. If you have no issues with that, then it’s probably ok, but it isn’t necessarily geared for families.

You must wear your wristband at the pool if you are a guest. Others are not allowed to swim. Don't really know how closely they watch it. If you are not a guest, you do pay for parking.

We recently brought two beach chairs to the beach, no one bothered us. The beach is divided by a small rocky outcrop. The rented umbrellas and chairs are on one side. Use the other side. Almost any small beach can get that low tide fishy smell, but we never noticed it at Shephard's. If it happens, the public beach is not far away.

It's a very small beach that you can't really access unless you walk through one of the hotels in that area but, I wouldn't necessarily classify it as private. It does feel private though.
