This was an overnight stop for us. It is a lovely quiet RV park, clean and picturesque. There is no indication of how pleasant it is. It is a country park so it was pleasant to walk around in the evening. Will stay here when...More
We were outrunning massive hail and lightning storms coming in from the west, and this was the only place available on short notice.

- The WiFi is actually good. The sign-on site said 15...More
Level sandy campsites. Very easy to navigate in and out. Wifi not great and limited to 15 minutes per day. Boat ramp. Bathrooms were clean but have not been updated in many years. Great value at $27 with Good Sam discount. I would stay here...More
We spent Thanksgiving week at the park & will return for New Year. Great neighbors. HUGE sites, very level, easy in, easy out! The trees in full fall color took my breath away.

Yes, you can launch your kayak right from the camp ground boat launch. The launch site is in a lawn like setting with maintained grass, a picnic table, and beautiful trees with Spanish Moss. There is one concrete pad that extends right into the "river's edge". The Yellow River is normally placid and peaceful but yet is fresh water and not stagnant. You do not need to be picked up at a distant location due to swift water but you do need to provide your own propulsion, either by paddle or motor. There is plenty of parking right at the launch site in the grassy area. The river is a popular fishing area for over night or longer term park guests and also for paid "day launch only" non park guests. In times of heavy rainfall and what Southerners call "high river" it is swift water and you would need motor, or distant location pickup, but is a time when I would not launch at all. You need to be very aware that the river is an area where aligators are indiginous and often seen.
